Hell’s Gate National Park - Begin the journey from Nairobi by road to Hell’s Gate National Park. Upon arrival, choose between a game drive in a safari vehicle or cycling through the park. Cycling offers an exciting adventure, allowing you to ride for 7 kilometers before taking a break at a ranger’s post. After a short rest, leave the bike and embark on a walking safari. Marvel at the stunning views of the gorge during the 3-hour walking tour. The park is home to diverse wildlife, unique flora, and numerous bird species, and is one of only two Kenyan parks where climbing, walking, and biking are permitted. Wildlife sightings may include bushbucks, dik-diks, gazelles, gnus, hartebeests, impalas, klipspringers, buffaloes, hyraxes, zebras, hyenas, jackals, mongooses, baboons, monkeys, and porcupines, among others. Enjoy lunch at Fisherman’s Camp, then spend the afternoon at Lake Naivasha enjoying a boat ride.

Crescent Island Visit to Nairobi

Crescent Island Game Park - After breakfast, visit Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, a peninsula or island on the eastern side of Lake Naivasha. A short boat ride from the mainland to Lake Naivasha grants access to the unique Crescent Island Wildlife Sanctuary. Alternatively, it can be accessed by road through the “Horse Riding Complex.” A wide variety of wildlife, birdlife, and flora thrive freely here, as there are no predators. Easily spotted animals include giraffes, waterbucks, cre elands, wildebeests, zebras, and impalas. The sanctuary is also a haven for birds, with over 200 species recorded. The lake is home to many hippos, which can be easily observed from the island. After lunch, return to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon.

During the safari, there will be an opportunity to explore Hell’s Gate National Park, home to over 100 bird species such as vultures, Verreaux’s Eagles, augur buzzards, and swifts. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, and baboons are also frequently seen. Travelers will be accompanied by an experienced tour driver/guide in a private safari vehicle and will enjoy a Full Board stay at a camp.

Additionally, the tour includes a visit to Crescent Island Game Park, a peninsula accessible by boat from the East or West, or by road for guided walks among the wildlife. Crescent Island is rich in wildlife, featuring giraffes, hippopotamuses, buffalo, waterbucks, wildebeests, zebras, impalas, pythons, mongooses, jackals, and more.
