Tsavo East - This morning, clients are picked up from their hotel or the airport, given a brief tour overview, and then depart from Nairobi at 7:00 am, heading towards Tsavo East National Park. The park is a vast expanse of African savanna with a diverse range of habitats, including open plains, semi-desert scrub, woodland, Chyulu Hills, and rocky outcrops. Tsavo East is one of Kenya’s oldest and largest national parks, separated from Tsavo West by a highway. It is renowned for its Red Elephants, the notorious ‘man-eaters of Tsavo’—two lions that attacked many workers years ago—Oryx, and Gerenuk, among other mammal species and birdlife. Other notable features include Mzima Springs, a water source for Mombasa Town, Shetani Lava Flow, and Ash cones, which are examples of recent volcanic activity.
Tsavo East National Park
Tsavo National Park East - As arguably the largest national park in Kenya, it boasts hundreds of elephant herds, giraffes, rhinos, antelopes, leopards, cheetahs, and the famous “man-eater lions of the Tsavo.” This park offers an excellent opportunity for game drives, bird-watching, trekking, and more.
Tsavo East - Tsavo West National Park
Tsavo National Park West - After breakfast, the morning game drive in Tsavo East National Park begins, scheduled for this day. The diverse habitats provide an ideal area to search for prides of lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and wildebeests. Mzima Spring, with underground water seepage from Chyulu Hills, is a great spot to observe hippos. There is also a rich diversity of bird species.
Tsavo West - Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park - The day starts with an early morning game drive followed by breakfast. The journey then continues with a game drive en route to Amboseli National Park. Situated at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the park is home to many animals, and its plains make wildlife sightings easier. On a clear day, the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain, can be seen.
Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park - After breakfast, enjoy another game drive where plains game, including large herds of elephants, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and various antelopes, can be observed. Lunch and a leisure break in the park follow. The day concludes with an evening game drive, with hopes of spotting the peak of Kilimanjaro from Observation Hill in clear weather. Large herds of elephants and hippos can be seen bathing in swampy areas fed by Mt. Kilimanjaro’s waters. Amboseli is also home to hundreds of bird species, including ostriches, pelicans, and geese.
