Intense experience - Visiting Kibera is an intense experience and will stay with you for a long time. The tour was incredible, made perfect by the guide, a very kind local guy who is a teacher in a local school and is careful to explain to you step by step the history and how community life works. I recommend this tour to everyone visiting Nairobi!

Kids on tour - I was unsure going in with this experience would be like with myself and four kids ranging in age from six years old to 14. It was absolutely incredible. Our guide was closely in tune with us and the surroundings the whole time. He knew people personally along the way, and the kids had a great time connecting with the other kids in the area as they shared the candy we bought for them. Overall, it was very sobering and sad, but equally hopeful to hear the stories of the individuals and the resilience and creativity they have found in the middle of such poverty.

An unforgettable experience. - This was an experience we will never forget. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and we felt very safe with him as we walked around Kibera slums. You get to experience so much on this tour but our favourite part was the visit to the school. A truly hearth warming and eye opening experience, one which we will never forget. Everyone greeted us warmly with a smile, inviting us into their homes and businesses. If you have the opportunity to visit this area I would highly recommend this tour.
