Nairobi to Hell’s Gate National Park
Hell’s Gate National Park - The safari driver guide will greet guests at their Nairobi city hotel and drive them northwest to Hell’s Gate National Park. A brief stop will be made at a viewpoint to admire the Great Rift Valley from a high vantage point. Arrival at Hell’s Gate is expected by mid-morning, where a 2-hour biking tour will commence. Alternatively, guests may choose to drive. Wildlife sightings may include Bushbucks, Dikdiks, Giraffes, Gazelles, Gnus, Hartebeests, Impalas, Klipspringers, Buffaloes, Hyraxes, Zebras, Hyenas, Jackals, Mongooses, Baboons, Monkeys, and Porcupines, among others. The park is also a significant habitat for the rare lammergeyer vultures. At 11 am, guests will explore the gorges for an hour, capturing stunning views of the narrow land depressions. By 12 pm, bikes will be returned at the gate, with a visit to the Maasai community along the way. Lunch is scheduled for 1 pm at Naivasha Fisherman’s Camp.
Lake Naivasha - At 2 pm, guests will enjoy a serene boat ride on Lake Naivasha, observing local wildlife such as hippos, buffalo, fish eagles, pelicans, and more for an hour.
Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru
Lake Nakuru - Following breakfast, the journey continues to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for a pre-lunch game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park hosts Giraffes, Waterbucks, Black and White Rhinos, Buffalo, Lions, and Leopards, among other species. The lake’s shores are lined with thousands of Flamingos feeding on algae. Lunch will be served at Lake Nakuru Lodge, Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, or a similar venue. An afternoon game drive around Lake Nakuru and the nearby forest will follow.
