A sobering, hopeful look at the tougher side of life in Nairobi through the eyes of some inspiring young men. - This is a wonderful city walking tour conducted by young men who have some bittersweet tales to tell about life on the streets. You walk for a couple of KMs through 'downtown' Nairobi with guides, typically one per couple or so and their share their stories of how they have turned their lives around. Be prepared that some tales are extremely harrowing. One young guy we walked with found himself on the streets at the age of just three years old through no fault of his own. It has a happy ending, however you can't imagine the life that some of these young men have had. The story is a positive one though. These inspiring youngsters have all got a story of hope. One that may still find them living in the hardest of conditions but one that means they have chosen a 'better' path. They are also mentors and advocates for other young boys who are in the same position, creating a movement of positivity that you feel reverberating off them throughout the whole tour. We had the pleasure of the company of Typhoon, King and Quick sharing their life stories and we were also 'bodyguarded' by two other young men who ensured we were as safe as houses as we walked through areas that you wouldn't be able to see, if it weren't for this fantastic charity. Take a couple of hours out of your life to do this tour. Let it open your eyes to the difficulties that some face day to day. And let it fill you with hope for the youngsters in this city who definitely weren't born on the luxury side of life, but some of whom are richer than many wealthy people I know. Thank you boys! Keep up the fantastic work - we loved our time with you.

A truly unforgettable experience of downtown Nairobi - not to missed! - Finishing our trip to Kenya with this wonderful walking tour was the absolute highlight of our trip to Nairobi. We were met at the agreed point and introduced to our main guide, Morgan, who we immediately connected with as he shared his on-depth knowledge of the area, starting with interesting historical facts as we began the tour in the uptown area. As we moved further into the streets of downtown he explained everything to us, with our other two guides, Typhoon and Angel, who accompanied us flanking us from behind and alongside to always ensure our safety, seeing us across the crazy roads too! We met some lovely people and hearing the story of Morgan's life that led him and the others to be on the streets pulled hard at my heart, as did seeing how the kids live on the streets. We finished the tour having some tasty local food with the lads in a local cafe. It's wonderful to learn how Morgan and these amazing guys have not only been able to rebuild their lives thanks to Nai Nami, but are now making future plans to help the kids out there on the streets. I urge everyone to experience this tour and to contribute to all they are doing through booking this life changing experience.

An unforgettable and impressive experience in down town Nairobi - In a small group of three participants we had a great and unforgettable experience walking through downtown Nairobi. Our guide gave a very interesting mix of information about historical facts, on current development and about his own (street) life in this part of Nairobi. The latter adding an impressive personal touch to this walk. With two extra Nai Nami colleagues looking after our safety, we had an opportunity of seeing parts of Nairobi where we otherwise could not go on our own. We very much recommend this tour!

Nice walking tour with great guides - It's a nice walking tour tailored to show some of the sights in Nairobi. The tour guides are very knowledgeable, accommodating and easy to talk to. You are not allowed by law to take pictures in some places, but all in all it's a nice way to see Nairobi and learn more about this city.

Respectful and genuine - Amazing way to get to see the genuine Nairobi, in the most respectful way with many interesting background stories. We were very happy with our guide Morgan who was very open and answered all our questions. Very inspiring how he changed his live and the drive he has to help other people do the same. Would 100% recommend!

A Powerful Way to Experience the Real Nairobi - This tour was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of my trip to Nairobi. What made it so special was that it allowed me to experience the city far beyond the usual areas where expats tend to stay. I didn’t just learn about the history of the places we visited — I also learned about Morgan’s story, our guide, which was incredibly powerful. Morgan was excellent. He shared how he survived living on the streets, and it was deeply inspiring to see his journey, his charisma, and the dreams he has for the future. Despite all the challenges life put in his way, he managed to turn his story into something positive and is now impacting the lives of people around him. I did this tour with two other girls, and we felt 100% safe the entire time. Morgan handled every situation with confidence and professionalism. That said, I honestly wouldn’t recommend doing this tour without a guide — it’s not an area where three women should walk alone, even on a Saturday morning. This is truly a must-do for anyone visiting Nairobi. I would recommend Morgan a thousand times over.

Street Tour - We enjoyed the tour heaps—it was great to hear about and see parts of Nairobi that you would normally never visit or fully understand. The guides’ history is truly inspirational, and it’s amazing to see where they are today and the work they do. It did start a little late, but don’t stress—they will turn up.

Enterprising street wisdom to guide you through Nairobi - A fantastic experience of street wisdom, walking through the hustle and bustle of Nairobi streets with great insights from local storyteller King Daniel along the way. Nai Nam is a social enterprise that puts back into the community through supporting new tour guides to reinvent their lives. Well worth your time.

This city has nothing unfortunately and the tour was not much. No personal stories oid - By arrangement we were at the agreed spot for the Bata. 20 minutes late our guides appeared. There you are in a horribly crowded city as the only white man with his back to the window. This didn't feel safe. No nice stories and personal info just some info about the city and some buildings. Total of 4 guides for 2 people. The city is ugly, dirty and you don't feel comfortable. A special experience that is not worth the money ( € 85,— for 2 ). Not even a bottle of water or anything to eat. A nice idea but unfortunately ..... we felt screwed
