Embark on an exhilarating 2-day, 1-night safari journey from Diani Beach to Tsavo East National Park, the largest national park, offering a thrilling experience. The park boasts a rich variety of wildlife within its open savannah, complemented by stunning landscapes of rolling hills and rivers.

DAY 1

To maximize the safari experience, the adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from the beach hotel at 5:30 AM, followed by an engaging 4-hour drive into the heart of Tsavo East National Park. This park is celebrated for its abundant wildlife and pristine landscapes, promising an unforgettable wildlife safari, captivating sightseeing, and a glimpse into local culture.

As the sun rises, the untouched beauty of Tsavo East unfolds, marking the arrival at the park, where the vast, flat, and dry terrain is immediately noticeable.

Upon entering the park, the driver will open the vehicle, allowing guests to be captivated by the views and feel the wind in their hair.

Welcome to Tsavo, where the safari adventure begins! On the way to the lodge, spend the entire morning spotting wildlife in Tsavo’s semi-arid to arid environment, nourished by the merging of the Tsavo and Athi rivers, which form the Galana River.

In addition to its wildlife attractions, visitors will also see the Yatta Plateau on the horizon, known as the world’s largest lava flow.

Check in at the lodge in time for lunch, followed by some relaxation before heading back into the park for an afternoon game drive. This allows for deeper exploration into the wilderness of Tsavo East, seeking out the elusive creatures that inhabit the park.

Return to the lodge as the sun sets and enjoy an overnight stay at Voi Wildlife Lodge, a mid-range lodge bordering Tsavo East National Park, offering a full-board experience without fences or similar barriers.

DAY 2

Begin the day early with a game drive at 6:30 AM during the cool morning hours, the optimal time to spot predators like cheetahs and silver-backed jackals when they are most active.

Search for a variety of wildlife, including greater kudus, elands, and hartebeests, and remain alert for a potential kill, a rare but exhilarating sight.

Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, replenishing energy after the exciting morning.

Check out of the lodge and embark on another game drive through the expansive savannah, spotting more wildlife and enjoying the park’s diverse landscapes.

Pause for lunch at a local spot, savoring regional cuisine and taking a break from the drive. (This lunch is not included in the price.)

Head back towards Diani.

Conclude the day with a relaxing drive back, reflecting on the day’s adventures.
