However, it offers frequent sightings of lions and hyenas. Visitors may also encounter leopards, elands, impalas, Masai giraffes, gazelles, zebras, Tanzanian cheetahs, Cape buffaloes, baboons, eastern black rhinos, Coke’s hartebeest, hippopotami, ostriches, vultures, and waterbucks. Unlike many other national parks, this one features numerous walking trails to explore. A guided walking trail leads to the hippo pool, offering a chance to see these massive creatures and possibly crocodiles as well.
- Sheldrick Wildlife Trust - The SWT Nursery, located within Nairobi National Park, is where the journey of a baby elephant orphan begins, eventually leading to their reintegration into the wild. Public visits are available daily, except on December 25th, from 11am to 12 noon. During this time, the team is thrilled to offer an unforgettable hour with the Nursery herd. Proceeds from your visit contribute to the rescue and rehabilitation of the orphaned elephants under their care.
