Camp life made easy and comfortable. With monkeys. - We were picked up (nicely on time) at our rented house in Karen district by Peter Ngigi our game drive/safari driver. We had such a good trip. It was a long trip but comfortable in the big car with pillows on the seats. It was cool enough due to the early morning temp. We arrived at Camp Fig Tree in Maasai Mara in the afternoon, got three tents by the river. we saw hippoes in the morning/evening but were safely high up on a steep brink. Honestly tents is a bad word it feels like a tent shaped hotel room, with warm water, big bathroom and nice beds with mosquito nets around the beds and at the tent opening. didnt notice any (new) bites. Took an afternoon game drive with Peter, and saw pretty much everything. The animals seem completely unbothered by the cars so saw most of them up close!. The camp morning and evening food (buffet with enough choices) and a late bonfire were great. Free coffee and tea to take in between. We heard hippoes and hyenas at night but there are guards patrolling and felt save enough. Had another game drive at 7, and had a great time. It feels impossible how often the animals were either close by, or crossing the road, when we got to them so saw giraffens, elephants, water buffalo, mongoose, LIONS, cheetas and so on up close. had a pack of lionesses taking a break in the shade of our car. It was such a nice few days we have had, I can warmly recommend it to anyone. We give credit to Peter who made the trip special by answering our many questions about all the animals, and for being just a cheerful and excellent guide to Massai mara and its inhabitants (both people and wildlife).

Fig Tree lodge - a wonderful place - We were going on a three day Safari from Fig Tree lodge with Peter Ngigi as driver and tourleader. Peter drove the big Landcruiset with excellent skills and managed to give us fantastic experiences and the possibility of taking really great pictures. Peter is a really nice guy and his knowledge of Masai Mara and the animal life there lifted the safari to a high and satisfying level. I can only give Peter my absolute best recommandations. The Fig Tree lodge is a wonderful place with a staff that is doing their utter best to make you feel comfortable. The food is really good varied and the tent for sleeping is great. It’s equipped with a nice bathroom and as a bonus the comfortable double bed had an effective mosquito net. All the best recommandations for Fig Tree lodge.

Unforgettably successful animal drives - My family and I were five people who were picked up in a big Land Cruiser at our accommodations and drove us to the Mara Fig Tree Camp in the early afternoon. During our stay here, our driver Peter Ngigi took us on an evening and full day Animal drive across the Masai Mara. He ensured we had wonderful trip both times. Well organised with timing, routes, car and refreshments, but most importantly by being exceptionately friendly and likeable, while also being a fountain of information on the many many animals we saw (only missing rhino) and answering all our questions. I praise his work highly.

If you consider safari in Kenya - go with Peter - We went with Peter for a 3 day trip in the Mara. Everything went exceptionally smooth and Peter was incredibly helpful and accommodating of all our requests. Having been on several safaris, I would say that Peter excels in friendliness, knowledge and least but not least; exceptional knowledge of his surrounding and animal behavior and predictions of movement , which leads to prime camera friendly encounters. Highly recommend!

Peter is a brilliant guide and we had a great safari experience - We did a tour with Peter to Masai Mara, Navaisha, Nakuru, and Amboseli. Peter is a brilliant guide - he knows the parks thoroughly and is a great jeep driver. We saw a huge range of animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and rhinos (basically all of the 'big 5'), as well as lots of different bird species. Peter is hugely knowledgeable about all the wildlife, and enthusiastic to share his knowledge and answer questions. I got a bit of food poisoning halfway through the trip, and Peter was attentive and accommodating, making extra stops and taking us to a pharmacy, which was a real help. All in all, we would highly recommend Peter as a safari tour guide - he will do all he can to give you a fantastic experience.

Awesome 8-days safari in Kenya - My wife, her mom, and I did an 8-day safari with Peter including Ambroseli, Lakes Naivasha and Nakuru, and Masai Mara. Although 8 days of mostly game drives was probably too much (our own mis-judgement at no fault of Great Wing Safaris), Peter made it a stress-free trip of a lifetime. Peter is a very experienced guide who seems to have the maps of all the parks downloaded in his brain. We managed to see every animal we hoped to including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, and many more! Thanks Peter for the awesome trip!

This time for Africa !!! - An unbelievable experience !! A once in a life time. We were able to see Elephants, Lions, Cheetah, leopard, Giraffes, zebras, wild beast, gazelles, antelopes … With Peter and his Landcruiser 70 series it is an absolute delight. He has been doing this for 15 years and it was so evident. His knowledge of the vehicle and Masai mara both are so good that you enjoy every bit of the trip !! We were able to see a pride hunting a buffalo, a cheetah eating a small gazelle.. Wild life at its Raw best. Do plan a trip. It’s worth every penny !!
