Nairobi to Hell’s Gate National Park to Lake Naivasha National Park

Hell’s Gate National Park - The safari driver guide will meet the group at their Nairobi city hotel and drive northwest to Lake Nakuru. A brief stop will be made at a viewpoint to admire the Great Rift Valley from a high vantage point. Arrival at Hell’s Gate will be around mid-morning, where a 2-hour biking tour within the park will commence. Alternatively, some may choose to drive, which is also permitted. The park is a significant habitat for the rare lammergeyer vultures. At 11 am, the group will visit the gorges for an hour, capturing stunning views of the gorge’s narrow land depressions that can be walked beneath. By 12 pm, the bikes will be returned at the gate, with a visit to the Maasai community along the way. Lunch will be at Naivasha Fisherman’s Camp at 1 pm (at own expense). At 2 pm, a relaxing boat ride on Lake Naivasha will be enjoyed, offering sightings of local wildlife such as hippos, buffalo, fish eagles, pelicans, and more for an hour.

Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Naivasha - After breakfast, the journey will continue to Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive. This park is home to giraffes, waterbucks, black and white rhinos, buffalo, lions, and leopards, among other wildlife. The lake’s shores are lined with thousands of flamingos feeding on the algae. Lunch will be at Buraha Zenoni Resort or a similar lodge. After lunch, the group will depart back to Nairobi, arriving around 5 PM.
