A terrific local experience! - I had a wonderful experience with Wairimu! She is incredibly easy-going and I bet, well set to become the Kenyan cuisine best promoter. She took me through the proper local experience using Matatu (public transportation) and I enjoyed the pop vibes in the bus, we went to the local market to shop and the products were more tasty than those in the supermarkets, it was great to prep and cook the meal with her and discover Kenyan way of cooking. And of course, the food was delicious! I was more than happy to have exchanged my beach/resort stay along the coast against this memorable experience! I recommend 300%! Thank you Wairimu :)

Enjoy your local day - Nimoh is wonderful. She is a great guide to have in the local market, on the bus and made sure we were safely getting back to our hotel. She welcomed us into her home and it was fun learning about Kenyan cuisine. If you want to feel like a local for a day spend your day with Nimoh.

A wonderful experience at the food market and cooking an exceptional meal - I had no idea what I was letting myself into when I met my host at our pre arranged location. What a wonderful smile and friendliness I was greeted with. The first surprise was jump on a Matatu bus to the food market, that alone was a fabulous experience. I could not believe the size of the food market, the atmosphere was superb. I chose goat meat for my meal so after purchasing all the ingredients we jumped on another Matatu, all the tv’s blaring out African music. A really fascinating experience. Arrived at Nenho apartment and straight into the preparation and cooking the meal. A truly lovely lady with a fabulous personality and the meal was simply delicious. I strongly recommend booking an afternoon with this lovely lady and experience something very exciting and fun.

Unique and fun experience - This was probably my most unique and memorable experience in Nairobi. Nimoh sent me a detailed itinerary in advance and was looking out for my safety and comfort the whole time. She also explained every part of the cooking process starting from the choice of the best ingredients at the market and gave me really helpful tips to make sure I can recreate these delicious dishes at home with ease. Playing with her cat and enjoyint the view on the balcony after lunch was the cherry on top. Thank you for this lovely day!

Best experience for learning about food and culture - This was one of the BEST Viator experiences we've ever had! Nimoh was gracious and delightful. She explained so much about Kenyan culture and traditions - not just the delicious food, but much more that we asked about! I would give this 10 stars if I could. Follow her directions carefully to find the meet up point. She also connected via WhatsApp to give additional help. DON'T MISS THIS EXPERIENCE!!

Great way to learn about Kenya and eat delicious food! - This activity was an amazing way to be introduced to Kenyan cuisine and the local culture - we learned so much from our host, Nimoh, who welcomed us so warmly into her home and made us feel so comfortable. The food we prepared was absolutely delicious! Heads up, if you plan to go to the market, be sure to wear shoes that you don't mind getting super muddy (depending on the weather). Highly recommend adding this activity to your itinerary!

A great day! - Nimoh was brill. She met us as planned and we headed to the market which was an incredible experience and she answered any questions we had. After getting back on the bus with the music pumping we got to her apartment and started to make so much incredible food! She explained everything as we went with a mixture of showing us and us doing it for ourselves. The food was delicious and we had a great time, thank you!
