Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Masai Mara National Reserve - At 8:00 AM, guests will be picked up from their hotel or residence within Nairobi’s CBD to begin the journey to Maasai Mara. The drive includes a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, offering a stunning view of the valley floor. Arrival at Maasai Mara is scheduled around lunchtime. After checking in, guests will embark on an evening game drive in the Mara Reserve. The Masai Mara Reserve is Kenya’s most popular tourist destination, located in the Great Rift Valley, primarily consisting of open grassland. It is considered the crown jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas, where visitors are likely to see the Big Five. The extraordinary wildebeest migration, a spectacular event unique to Maasai Mara, is a world wonder.

Masai Mara National Reserve Full Day

Masai Mara National Reserve - Breakfast is served at 6:00 AM, followed by departure. The entire day is dedicated to exploring Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five. Guests will enjoy picnic lunches in the Reserve under a croton tree while admiring the beauty of the Mara. The day includes game drives extending to the Mara River, home to many resident hippos and crocodiles. Optional activities include a visit to a local Maasai village for a cultural tour at USD 20 per person or an early morning balloon safari at USD 380 per person, followed by the regular itinerary. The Mara is renowned for hosting one of nature’s most spectacular events: the great migration. This annual migration involves millions of wildebeest and zebra moving from the Serengeti in Tanzania in search of water and pasture, followed by savanna predators such as lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru - After breakfast, guests will begin the drive to Nakuru, with an optional stop at Lake Naivasha along the way. Upon arrival, guests will spend the night at the Matfam Resort and enjoy dinner there.

Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

Nairobi - An early breakfast is followed by a 7:00 AM departure to the park. Although small, the park is home to magnificent, rare white rhinos, part of the Big Five, and possibly pink flamingos. The game drive lasts three hours, after which guests will embark on a three-hour drive back to Nairobi, arriving around 3:00 PM. A simple complimentary snack lunch will be provided at a traveler’s motel en route. Guests will be dropped off at their hotel or residence within Nairobi’s CBD.
