• KOBE TOUGH Beads & Leather - The next stop is the Bead Factory, a pottery company renowned for creating some of the world’s most beautiful beads. You’ll be guided through all the stages from start to finish. This unique factory employs single mothers from underprivileged neighborhoods, providing them with a livelihood to support their families. The pottery, ceramic, and bead factory employs only single mothers to craft its exquisite gifts and souvenirs, which are exported worldwide. A gift shop is available, offering some of their products. Please note that the workshop is closed on Saturday afternoons and all day Sunday, but the gift shop remains open 7 days a week.
• Karen Blixen Museum - Next, you’ll be driven to the former colonial home of Danish author Karen Blixen. Now a museum, this property and the surrounding Ngong Hills gained fame from the book and movie ‘Out of Africa.’ It’s a must-see for Danes and enthusiasts of African history and romance. You’ll then take a break for lunch (at your own expense).
• Maasai Market Collections Karen - Afterwards, proceed to the Bomas cultural dance show. The talented resident artists perform traditional dances and songs from the country’s diverse tribal groups, including Arab-influenced Swahili Taarab music, Kalenjin warrior dances, Embu drumming, and Kikuyu circumcision ceremonies. While it’s touristy, it remains a spectacular afternoon outing and a must-visit for all tourists. You’ll be returned to your hotel around 5-6 PM.
