Today, travel to a Maasai village to spend the day with the men, women, and children. Elder Daniel will guide you on a tour to explain how the Maasai have preserved these valuable lands. Participate in building a new manyatta, a traditional Maasai home, while Maasai warriors teach about local plants used for medicinal remedies. In the afternoon, the women will share their stories and assist you in crafting your own piece of beautifully-made traditional Maasai beaded jewelry.

Kikuyu Family Connections
In Kenya, many households are led by grandmothers who care for multiple generations. Today, you will be welcomed by the gracious grandmother Helen at her rural home, where she will introduce you to her extensive Kikuyu family. She will give you a tour of her pig farm, and you can assist with the chores if you wish. This initiative, supported by One Horizon, aims to enhance the livelihoods of grandmothers.
