The Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park - At 7:30 AM, after enjoying breakfast, the driver guide will pick you up for a road trip to Amboseli National Park. The journey will take you through the arid Athi Kapiti plains near Kajiado, a dry landscape adorned with bushes and thorny acacias, heralding the true African savannah. After checking in and having lunch, you can relax in your room. Amboseli is a vast volcanic plateau, dominated by the majestic snowy peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro, located near the Kenya-Tanzania border. This is Africa’s highest mountain (5,895 m), situated in Tanzanian territory, and is clearly visible throughout the park, providing a stunning backdrop on clear days. The park is home to numerous birds, especially around the lake and wetlands. An afternoon safari drive at 4:00 PM will take you to the park’s wetlands, where wildlife is abundant. Dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge will follow.
Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park - At 6:30 AM, embark on a game drive through the park until 9:00 AM, then return to the lodge for breakfast. The rest of the morning is for relaxation and enjoying the lodge’s amenities until lunchtime. In the afternoon, at 4:00 PM, another game drive will take place, occupying much of the afternoon. Thanks to Kilimanjaro’s groundwater, a spring crop surrounded by green meadows, along with water, mountains, and grasslands, creates a wonderful habitat for lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, and buffalo. It’s also a fantastic place for photography. One of the most sought-after photographs in Kenya is a portrait of a herd of elephants with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background during sunset. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lake Naivasha
Lake Naivasha - At 7:30 AM, after breakfast, travel to Lake Naivasha, a paradise for bird enthusiasts. The park is nestled between Mount Longonot, the Mau Range, and the eastern slopes of the Great Rift Valley. It’s a cold, deep lake, deeper than its neighboring lakes Nakuru and Elementeita, providing an ideal ecosystem for over 500 hippos and a variety of waterfowl such as flamingos, ospreys, herons, egrets, coots, and cormorants. Enjoy a full-day safari drive along the lake or opt for a canoe safari on the lake (optional, additional cost). Lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay will be at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge.
Masai Mara National Reserve
Masai Mara National Reserve - At 7:30 AM, after breakfast, travel by road to the Masai Mara Reserve, arriving by lunchtime. The Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya’s most famous reserve and home to the “Big Five”: buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, and rhino. Great herds of wildebeest and zebra roam the Mara grasslands, with numbers increasing during the annual migration. Upon arrival at the camp in Mara, check in and settle into your room before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Dinner and an overnight stay at the camp will follow.
Masai Mara National Reserve
Masai Mara National Reserve - Today, enjoy the opportunity for an early morning balloon safari (optional, additional cost) over the Mara plains, including a champagne breakfast upon landing, an unforgettable experience. If not participating in the balloon safari, an early morning game drive will be followed by breakfast at the lodge. Another game drive will take place in the afternoon. Dinner and an overnight stay at the camp will conclude the day.
Nairobi
Nairobi - At 7:00 AM, after breakfast, travel back to Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch. The afternoon is free for leisure. Dinner will be at the renowned Carnivore restaurant.
