• Kenyatta International Convention Centre - After being picked up by the driver/guide, travel through Nairobi’s city center to the KICC building. This is among the tallest structures in Nairobi and holds significant historical importance as an international conference center. The KICC became a State Corporation under the Tourism Act in 2011, effective from September 1, 2012. It is renowned as a premier meeting venue in Nairobi. • Kipande House - The historic Kipande House, constructed in 1913, is situated at the intersection of Kenyatta Avenue and Loita Street in Nairobi’s Central Business District. ‘Kipande’ is a Swahili term meaning ‘identification card’. • Jeevanjee Gardens - Jeevanjee Gardens was established by A.M. Jeevanjee, an entrepreneur of Asian descent in Kenya. It is the only park in the city directly owned by the people, having been donated to the wonderful people of Nairobi as a resting area (the park was private property and is held in trust for the people of Nairobi). • Kencom House - This landmark Kenya Commercial Bank HQ building, opened in 1977, also serves as a bustling bus terminal. It is the largest public transport terminal in Nairobi. Capture photos and create memories as you get acquainted with Nairobi.
• August 7th Memorial Park - On August 7th, 1998, terrorists used a car bomb to destroy the then United States Embassy at the corner of Moi and Haile Selassie Avenues, resulting in the deaths of 218 innocent people and injuring thousands more. The explosion was so powerful it was heard as far as Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Visit the museum to learn about the history behind this event.
• Kibera - Travel to the largest slum in Africa and the third largest in the world. The guide will introduce you to a local slum guide to begin your tour, where you will interact with families to understand their way of life. This tour will last two hours, including a visit to a school in the slum before concluding your experience.
