Tsavo East - Day 1. Begin with a pickup from your hotel or the airport and travel along the Mombasa - Nairobi highway, which takes approximately two and a half hours to reach Bachuma Gate, the entrance to Tsavo East National Park. Tsavo East is famous for its large elephant population and the legendary man-eating lions, along with numerous antelopes, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and hippos. Upon entering, enjoy an extensive game drive until lunchtime, when you will be taken to Voi Safari Lodge for a meal. The lodge features a waterhole that attracts wildlife during the midday hours. After lunch, depart for Tsavo West, with a game drive en route to the rhino sanctuary for a chance to see rhinos. Continue with a game drive to your reserved lodge. There are three accommodation options: NGULIA SAFARI LODGE or KILAGUNI SERENA LODGE.
Tsavo West National Park - Mombasa
Mzima Springs - Day 2. Embark on an early morning game drive after enjoying a cup of coffee or tea at 6:00 am. Observe the animals in their natural habitat and witness the sunrise over the plateau, then return for a full breakfast at 8:00 am. Check out and depart with a game drive en route out of Tsavo West, heading to Lionhill for lunch. After lunch, drive back to the coast to your reserved hotel or continue with your travel plans. End of program.
