Nairobi - Arrival in Nairobi

Day 2
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi to Masai Mara
After breakfast, depart from the hotel and drive through the picturesque Great Rift Valley. A brief stop at the viewpoint allows for photos of the Great Rift Valley before continuing to Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch at Keekorok Lodge. An afternoon game drive is scheduled, returning to the lodge in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Day 3
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Masai Mara National Park
After breakfast, spend the entire day exploring the park. Maasai Mara Game Reserve is Kenya’s most renowned game sanctuary, famous for its diverse wildlife. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was largely shot here. The annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle from the Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to Maasai Mara grazing fields is a must-see from late June. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Masai Mara National Park
Witness the dramatic river crossings and predators preying on the migrants from early July to August. The reserve is rich in birdlife, with about 452 species recorded. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, depart Masai Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its diverse bird species, especially the pink flamingos. Lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, followed by afternoon game drives and photography in the park. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.
Day 6
Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park
Spend the day exploring and photographing the park. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingos and over 400 bird species. The soda lake on the Rift Valley floor appears ringed in pink due to the flamingos. The park is also a sanctuary for endangered species, including the Rothschild Giraffe and black and white rhinos.
Day 7
Samburu National Reserve - Lake Nakuru to Samburu
After breakfast, depart the lodge and drive to Samburu Game Reserve, arriving by lunchtime. After lunch, embark on a game drive to spot resident wildlife such as the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and the Blue-necked Somali Ostrich, which are rare elsewhere in the country. Dinner and overnight at the stunning Samburu Lodge.
Day 8
Samburu National Reserve - Samburu Game Reserve
After breakfast, spend the day exploring the park and capturing the best shots. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Lodge. Samburu Game Reserve is known for its scenic beauty, rivers, and forests. The local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserve has numerous permanent springs and abundant wildlife, including leopards, hippos, elephants, lions, reticulated giraffes, Grevy zebras, and crocodiles in the Ewaso Nyiro River. Over 365 bird species have been identified in the sanctuaries.
Day 9
Mount Kenya - Samburu to Sweetwaters
After breakfast, drive to the Mt Kenya region, arriving at Sweetwaters Tented Camp in time for lunch. Proceed with afternoon game photography at Sweetwaters Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp. Optional night game drives to see nocturnal animals can be arranged at an additional cost.

Kenya - Sweetwaters
Sweetwaters Game Reserve and Chimpanzee Sanctuary is the closest reserve to Nairobi that boasts all of the “Big 5” game – Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant, and Buffalo. As a private reserve, guests can enjoy special activities not permitted in most Kenyan National Parks and Reserves, such as game walks, night game drives, horseback riding, guided bush walks, lion tracking, bird watching, game viewing from blinds, game rides, meals in the bush, and camel rides.

Kenya - Sweetwaters Game Reserve
Ol Pejeta Conservancy Reserve is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including over 400 bird species, lions, elephants, rhinos, and cheetahs. Night game drives, a highlight of your stay in Africa, offer frequent sightings of the elusive leopard and other nocturnal species.

Nairobi - Sweetwaters to Nairobi
An early morning game drive in the Conservancy. Sweetwaters/Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the closest location from Nairobi to see the Big Five – lion, African elephant, African buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros (either black or white). The combination of incredible wildlife and breathtaking views across the open plains of Ol Pejeta ensures an unforgettable safari experience. After breakfast, depart by road for Nairobi, arriving early afternoon. A farewell dinner is planned in the evening at Safari Park Hotel before transferring to the airport for your international flight home, marking the end of the 12 Days Kenya Wildlife Photographic Safari Holidays.
