The guide will share a brief history of the city and set the context as the group departs from Nagoya Station towards Nagoya Castle using the City’s tourist bus.
- Nagoya Castle - The tour includes exploring the grounds of Nagoya Castle and the exterior of the castle’s keep before entering Honmaru Palace.
- Kinshachi Yokocho - There will be a stop for a quick lunch and some free time to shop for souvenirs in Kinshachi Yokocho. Feel free to ask the guide for suggestions or follow your instincts!
- Cultural Path Shumokukan - After lunch, the group will proceed to Nagoya’s Culture Path on foot. It is approximately a 20-minute walk from Kinshachi Yokocho. Upon arrival at the Culture Path, the guide will lead you through several historical villas and gardens once owned by some of Nagoya’s wealthiest families.
- Tokugawa Garden - The journey continues on foot to the final destination, Tokugawa Garden. The walk from the Culture Path to Tokugawa Garden takes about 20 minutes.
Upon arrival, participants can enjoy a well-deserved break with Sencha tea and traditional Japanese sweets in a historical tea house. After refreshments, there will be an opportunity to take a leisurely stroll through the garden.
At approximately 16:25, the group will return to Nagoya Station via Nagoya’s tourist bus. Guests wishing to conclude the tour at Sakae will have the option to do so.
