As a former professional athlete, I’ve chased adrenaline across the globe, from the peaks of the Andes to the depths of the Grand Canyon. But the allure of the Japanese Alps, with their pristine powder and legendary slopes, was a siren call I couldn’t resist. My fiancée and I, both thrill-seekers at heart, decided to embark on the Nagano Ski Adventure for an all-inclusive day trip from Tokyo. As the afternoon sun began to dip, we gathered at the Okushiga Kogen lodge for a well-deserved break. The simple yet hearty lunches were a perfect refuel, and the camaraderie among fellow adventurers added to the experience. Sharing stories of the day’s triumphs and near-misses over a steaming bowl of ramen was a highlight in itself.

With the day’s adventures drawing to a close, Nadine offered dinner recommendations that promised to cap off our day with a taste of local flavor. As we made our way back to Nagano, the bus ride was filled with laughter and shared memories, a testament to the bonds forged on the slopes.
