Archaeological Site Mycenae - After breakfast, we will meet you at your hotel or nearby and set off on a four-day Classical tour around mainland Greece. We’ll take the coastal road to the Corinth Canal, where we’ll pause briefly to admire this marvel of human engineering. Back on the road, we’ll head to the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, renowned for its exceptional acoustics. Next, we’ll drive to Mycenae to explore its archaeological site, including the famous Tomb of Agamemnon. Then, we’ll journey to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, traveling through the scenic routes of Central Peloponnese and passing through the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. We’ll stop for the night in Olympia.

Olympia to Delphi

Delphi Archaeological Museum - In the morning, we’ll visit the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium, and the Archaeological Museum in Olympia. Afterward, we’ll drive through the plains of Ilia and Achaia, crossing the impressive Rio-Antirio bridge that spans the Corinthian Bay. We’ll pass through the charming towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea before arriving in Delphi.

Delphi to Kalambaka (Meteora Monasteries)

Meteora - In the morning, we’ll visit the archaeological site of Delphi, home to significant landmarks such as the Athenian Treasury, the Amphitheater, the Pythian Stadium, and the Temple of Apollo. Gazing down at the stunning Pleistos Valley, you’ll understand why Delphi held such spiritual significance for the Ancient Greeks. After leaving the site, we’ll head to Kalambaka, passing through picturesque villages of Central Greece along the way.

Kalambaka to Thessaloniki and a visit to Meteora

Thessaloniki - We’ll visit Meteora, a geological wonder with towering rock pillars that create a breathtaking landscape. Atop these pillars stand Byzantine Monasteries of great historical and religious importance. After departing from Kalambaka, we’ll continue through the striking plains of Thessaly and the Tempi Valley, with views of Mount Olympus, Greece’s highest peak and the mythical home of the 12 Greek Gods. We’ll arrive in Thessaloniki, Greece’s second-largest and most vibrant city.

Thessaloniki - In the morning, you’ll explore Thessaloniki, a major center of civilization during the Byzantine Empire, second only to Constantinople in population and prestige. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy, with plenty of entertainment options in the city.
