Great tour! - DO NOT EAT before going! Skip breakfast. Could not have been more happy with the authenticity of the tour. Great history lesson related to all things Mayan food. And it was all delicious too! Very hands on, would definitely take friends on another visit. Well done!

Unexpectedly good, but a little hard to find - This is an extremely good tour of food from the Yucatán peninsula. It’s a bit difficult to find, if you don’t port near the Royal Village Shopping Center, but it is worth the effort to get here. You get to try several different traditional drinks and foods, and you get a history lesson on the flavors you’ll find within them. It isn’t clear, but it all happens inside the Ix Cool restaurant. You’ll be glad you came.

Come hungry!!! - Come hungry!! We ate for two hours straight. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience from the hospitality to flavor to an informative presentation of Mayan cooking. However, there was not much hands on cooking in this experience. We made guacamole and tortillas only. We were served a six course meal that was delicious. The experience started with Mayan dancers who blessed the food as well as played music and took time for pictures. Our host was enthusiastic and made this a fun experience. I would highly recommend!

Cooking with fam - The most amazing experience. A must! The hosts were super warm and fun. We got a chance to visit the local market, select our produce and meat. We learned every step of the way. They even went as far as buying me a pastry and candle to celebrate my birthday as a little extra umph!!!! So much fun and the margarita was too!

This is a wonderful restaurant, would recommend the class, but even if you don’t do the class you should still go to eat!

Amazing cooking experience in Cozumel - Booked the experience as one of our stops on our recent cruise. Quick walk from Royal Caribbean port to the restaurant. Staff was attentive from the moment of arrival. Instruction and participation was interactive throughout the experience. Food was amazing in taste and dishes were historically explained and described how they are prepared and served. The staff were knowledgeable and accommodating. Guests prepare/cook tow dishes and you are served the rest of the food prepared by the specialists. I recommend this for anyone visiting Cozumel.

Delicious Mayan Cooking - The lesson included a comprehensive video, in-person instruction, and all of the ingredients and equipment needed to create several dishes. Other Mayan dishes were also included. It began with a Mayan ceremony and dancers. Links to ancient Mayan culture and the Spanish impact were explained. The food was delicious.

Beware and read reviews before you book! - This experience could be better. We started 30 minutes late waiting for another group from another cruise ship and then the experience ended 30 minutes early so the 3.5-hour experience turned into a 2.5-hour experience. The restaurant is very echoey and they did not turn their music off, so the speaker was competing with the music. The food experience was fun and delicious, but some changes would make this experience much better! Also, you need to add railings on your stairs going up to the only bathroom. This seems dangerous for the elderly and small children. I should not have to write my review onsite to get a copy of the recipes. Extremely poor etiquette!
