Enjoy an easy and fun experience! No prior experience is necessary! All materials are included. Create a painting of a San Miguel de Allende doorway using acrylics on an 11” x 14” canvas. Explore 5 techniques with brushes and a palette knife. Participants will use a professional photo as a reference, with the option to select different photos for inspiration. Learn to complete a painting from start to finish and take home your unique masterpiece.
The workshop is available in both Spanish and English.
Your instructors: - Maestro Gonzalez, who has 30 years of experience in painting and teaching adults.
- Professional artist and architect Cristiana Mar, who also has over 30 years of experience in painting and teaching, as well as developing workshops and retreats.

Great experience - Fernando was very welcoming to us both as new and experienced artists. He walked us through each step of the way. Our group took away new information that we can include in future endeavors. It was a great way to spend time while in San Miguel. Bonus, we went home with a painting that captures the heart of the city.

Great experience - This was such an excellent class. Fernando is a talented, patient instructor and his wife is so sweet and helpful as well. I learned so much in one lesson. I will do this again when I’m back in town.

I didn't know I could paint! Fabulous 4 hours! Try it out! - It was excellent! Cristi is a very good teacher; patient and explains all the techniques. The 4 hours went by so fast, and I was very happy with the results, especially that it was my first time painting. She showed me how to sketch, pick and mix colors, brush strokes....... I wish I had more time to do another session.

Fun class with a great product! - This was such a fun painting class! Fernando was friendly and talked us through the painting with acrylics process as we had never used acrylics before. It was a great experience all around and our family of four highly recommends it!

Learned so MUCH! - Artist Fernando and his wife welcomed me into their new home where they hosted this four-hour experience. He is a patient and encouraging teacher. As a beginner, I learned A LOT about the artistic process, like how to frame an image on a canvas, how to mix and modify colors, and how to use a variety of tools and brushes. It wasn’t easy and the amount of time seemed quick to finish a whole painting, but I am grateful to Fernando for teaching me so much.

Amazing class! Christina... - Amazing class! Christina is a real artist and patient and thorough teacher who guided us inexperienced students to paint a colorful door- this is a must do activity in San Miguel. what a cool souvenir and memory!

Fun Class - The painting class was advanced enough that everyone learned something new and yet not so advanced that we couldn't follow the directions. Our group had fun, laughed, and were impressed with how good our paintings turned out. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the class very... - Enjoyed the class very much even though I have zero artistic skills. Fernando was great in explaining each step of the process and giving great pointers. My door actually turned out somewhat decent which is shocking. Highly recommend this experience.

It was a privilege to... - It was a privilege to watch Fernando, a true teacher guide us step, by step in painting. All the tools were available with clearly defined explanations of each. Even though I never painted before, I learned things that will enable me to understand and look at Art in a new fresh way. Cristi and Fernando were great hosts, and made us feel very welcome.
