  Fanja is a charming village with a history spanning approximately 400 years, offering delightful views and a journey back in time. The village features abandoned mud houses, and visitors can pause briefly to capture photos from an elevated vantage point.

• Wadi Bani Khalid - The journey begins early from Muscat, heading towards the Sharqiya region. Along the way, there is a brief photo stop at the picturesque village of Fanja before continuing to Wadi Bani Khalid. This is one of Oman’s largest and most stunning wadis, renowned for its impressive canyon with steep walls and breathtaking crystal-clear water pools. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the refreshing cool freshwater pool or simply sunbathe. The grandeur of the wadi allows for exploration deeper into its expanse or a visit to its hidden caves. Lunch can be enjoyed at a local Omani restaurant.

Ladies swimwear for Wadi Bani Khalid: Ladies are required to wear a t-shirt and shorts that cover the knees (Bikinis are not permitted).

• Wahiba Sands - At Wahiba Sands Desert, visitors can drive off-road and witness endless stretches of pure sand and towering sand dunes. This experience offers a true sense of the Omani desert’s magic. There is an opportunity to visit a traditional Bedouin house, where Omani coffee and dates may be available (subject to availability). Optional camel rides are available at an additional cost, and visitors can drive to the dunes to take numerous photos. After this desert adventure, the journey returns to Muscat.
