- Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - The mosque welcomes visitors from Saturday to Thursday, between 8:00 – 11:00 a.m., and remains closed on Fridays. Visitors can marvel at the world’s second-largest handmade carpet and the renowned chandelier in the main prayer hall. Opened in 2001, this magnificent marble mosque is among the largest in the Gulf, with a capacity for 20,000 worshipers. Constructed from 300,000 tonnes of Indian sandstone, the main musalla or prayer hall is a square measuring 74.4 by 74.4 meters (244 by 244 feet), with a central dome reaching 50 meters (160 ft) above the floor.
Dress code: Visitors must dress modestly, covering their entire arms and legs, and avoid wearing tight clothing. Women and girls aged seven and above are required to cover their hair.
PLEASE NOTE: The mosque is closed every FRIDAY.

An enjoyable tour of Muscat - Ghusun contacted up prior to the day of the tour to ensure all was ready for a 9am start. He picked the two of us up from our hotel and immediately made us feel very welcome and comfortable. He has very good communication skills and local knowledge. We certainly enjoyed our tour of Muscat with Ghusun and thank him for his attention.

A day in Muscat.. - Jihad was an excellent guide with very good spoken English. He helped me tour Muscat and went above and beyond to make the experience smooth and enjoyable… he even kept feeding me with great local food along the way! Friendly, knowledgeable, and highly recommended.

Amazing day trip in Muscat!! - I had an amazing time on this tour with Saif! He was extremely knowledgeable, flexible, and adjusted the tour to my preferences. This was a great way to learn a lot about Oman in a short time. I highly recommend booking this tour and requesting Saif as your guide!

We had a fantastic Muscat city tour with Mr. Khalid AlRaqadi. The itinerary covered all the main highlights including the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, dolphin watching, Muttrah Fort, Muttrah Souq, Al Alam Palace, Al Mirani & Al Jalali Forts, and the Royal Opera House.
Mr. Khalid is very professional, friendly, and highly knowledgeable about Omani history and culture. His explanations were clear and informative, which made every location more interesting and meaningful.
The tour covered all the things that were mentioned in the itinerary, no time was wasted in the trip. Traffic? Not at all! Roads were clean and all buildings in Muscat looked clean and well maintained! If you’re looking for culture and traditional trip, Oman got it!
We truly appreciated his hospitality and attention to detail. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Muscat and looking for a reliable, knowledgeable tour guide.

Perfect Muscat City Tour with an Excellent Guide & Photographer - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had a wonderful time exploring Muscat with Mr. Khalid AlRaqadi. Our itinerary included the Grand Mosque, watching dolphins, Muttrah Fort, Muttrah Souq, Al Alam Palace, Al Mirani & Al Jalali Forts, and the Royal Opera House, a perfect mix of culture, history, and scenery.
Mr. Khalid is very friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about Omani history. He explained everything clearly and made each place more meaningful, not just a photo stop.
Speaking of photos, he knows all the best photo spots and angles and is also a great photographer 📸, which made the experience even better. He never rushed us and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying the tour.
If you’re looking for a guide in Muscat who is well-informed, patient, friendly, and can capture great memories along the way, we highly recommend Mr. Khalid AlRaqadi.

Great tour of Oman with Hamood - “Hamood from Star Tour was our guide in Oman. He was punctual, cheerful, and kind, and very knowledgeable throughout the tour. We were very fortunate to have him as our guide. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough — he truly made our holiday in Oman unforgettable.

Must do city tour - We did the Private Muscat City tour with our excellent guide Khalil. Was a fantastic day certainly with the highlights being Grand Mosque and the Royal Opera House - both incredibly beautiful buildings. Khalil was fun to be around and provided great commentary on all our destinations and looked after us the entire day which was a little more complicated by the visit of the Lebanese Prime Minister. Khalil worked around this making sure we covered all the attractions set out in our itinerary. We wanted some lunch and Khalil suggested this little restaurant opposite the fish market - you choose your seafood and they cook it for you. Taste was amazing and generous servings. Highly recommend Khalil if you're after a guide in Muscat

Perfect Muscat tour - Fantastic tour with Khalil! We learned so much about Muscat, and he brought us to a great lunch spot for fresh Omani seafood by the fish market. Khalil was able to take great photos of us at the Sultan Qaboos Mosque. The tour was very organized. We would happily book again!
