Coastal Adventure Tour: Wadi Shab, Bimmah Sinkhole & Fins Beach to Ras Al Hadd
Bimmah Sinkhole - Depart from Muscat around 8:30 AM to embark on your coastal adventure. The first destination is the breathtaking Bimmah Sinkhole—a natural limestone crater filled with clear turquoise water, often thought to have been created by a meteor.
Fins - The next stop is Fins Beach, which is strikingly white, curiously pebbly, incredibly blue, and absolutely stunning.
Wadi Shab - Continue the drive to Wadi Shab, an enormous canyon gorge lined with palm trees and showcasing the impressive power of water descending from the mountains. After a 35-minute hike through the canyon, arrive at one of several crystal-clear water pools. Visitors can swim through the warm waters from pool to pool, eventually reaching the last pool where an opening among the enormous rocks allows swimming into an incredible crevice cave with a small waterfall. Inside, sunlight filters in, turning the water a beautiful turquoise blue while water showers down one side of the cave from the wadi beyond.
Wadi Tiwi - The next stop is a photo opportunity at Wadi Tiwi, named after the coastal village of Tiwi. This beautiful wadi, with its lush plantations, offers a different (certainly greener) feel than many other wadis.
Al Hadd - After exploring Wadi Shab, Fins Beach, and Bimmah Sinkhole, return to your hotel to rest and stay overnight at Turtle Beach Resort.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel. If desired, you can join a turtle-watching experience later in the evening. Please note that the entrance fee is not included in the tour price, as this activity is optional. Simply inform the guide if you wish to participate.
Sur to Wahiba Sands – Dhow Factory, Ghazal Farm & Desert Sunset
Sur - Depart the hotel after breakfast and drive to Sur. In the morning, explore the City of Sur with its old fortresses and the famous Arabian Dhow Factory, where traditional wooden Dhows are built.
Oman - Next, visit the Omani Ghazal Farm in Al Kamel (Asilel Farm), a unique and fascinating destination in Oman. This farm is home to a variety of Omani wildlife, including the graceful Arabian gazelles, and offers visitors a chance to learn about local conservation efforts. You will also see other animals and traditional farming practices, making it a great spot to experience rural Omani life up close.
The visit is both educational and interactive—perfect for nature lovers and families alike. Don’t forget your camera, as the farm provides excellent opportunities for photos of the wildlife and the scenic surroundings.
Wadi Bani Khalid - Next, drive to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the largest and most breathtaking wadis in Oman. Famous for its clear emerald pools, dramatic canyon landscapes, and lush palm-lined banks, Wadi Bani Khalid is a perfect spot to unwind and connect with nature.
Here, you can swim in the natural pools, sunbathe on the rocks, or simply relax and enjoy the stunning scenery. It’s also an ideal location for a picnic amid the serene beauty of the wadi. Whether you’re looking for adventure or tranquility, this wadi offers a unique experience that captures the essence of Oman’s natural charm.
Wahiba Sands - In the late afternoon, continue your journey to the Wahiba Sands, a vast and breathtaking desert landscape. Here, relax at a traditional Bedouin house, enjoy Omani coffee with dates, and, if desired, take a camel ride (optional, approximately 7–10 minutes for 3 OMR / 8 USD per person).
As the day draws to a close, experience the stunning desert sunset from one of the towering sand dunes—a truly unforgettable sight. Conclude the day with a buffet dinner at the desert camp, followed by a relaxing evening under the starry desert sky.
