- Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - Departing in the morning from Muscat we will drive towards to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is built from 300,000 tonnes of Indian sandstone. The main musalla or prayer hall is square and 74.4 by 74.4 metres (244 by 244 feet) with a central dome rising to a height of 50 metres (160 ft) above the floor. The dome and the main minaret (90 metres (300 ft)) and four flanking minarets (45.5 metres (149 ft)) are the mosque’s chief visual features. The main musalla can hold over 6500 worshippers, while the women’s musalla can accommodate 750 worshipers. The outer paved ground can hold 8000 worshipers and there is additional space available in the interior courtyard and the passageways, making a total capacity of up to 20,000 worshipers.
The mosque is built on a site occupying 416,000 m2 (4,480,000 sq ft),[4] and the complex extends to cover an area of 40,000 m2 (430,000 sq ft). The newly built Grand Mosque was inaugurated by Sultan of Oman on May 4, 2001 to celebrate 30 years of his reign

Great day tour from Muscat - This was a great tour, combining a visit to Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque with several spots outside Muscat. Wakan Village in particular felt like a hidden gem as we hadn’t seen too many tours that went there, but it was absolutely worth the visit. Our guide Musab was also very friendly and ensured we had a good amount of time at each location. We’d definitely recommend this tour.

Best trip best tour guide - This is our first trip to Oman and first guided tour in the country. We absolutely fell in love with the mosque, the village, and everything else. We owe everything to our amazing tour guide. He was kind, gentle, friendly, and knowledgeable.

A breath of fresh air from the city's hustle bustle😌 - My 3rd tour with the company and more to go🤎we booked the tour 1 day prior because we really want to go to this Wakan Village and again Star tours never failed to arrange it for us. The tour was challenging for the weak-hearted I guess but we accepted the challenge and finished it to the top, my legs are proud they did it😅.

Star Tours Oman trip to Wakan village - The walk through Wakan village was a delight. The views were stupendous and the way of life there quite an eye opener. The tour followed the advertised program exactly and timings were correct and generous. The driver /guide, Yahya, was friendly, informative and helpful. All in all a very successful day.

Wow really 700 + steps - A wonderful trip we had to see the place of wakan village there’s a lot of mixed plants like grapes and a lot of apricot trees and there’s local people who’s living there some people are selling honey and some vegetables from their plants. To see the views from the top is really amazing.

Nakahal and wakan village - We visited the place of Nakhal fort photo stop outside only because the fort still under renovations then next we had visited the Nakhal hotspring and from there we enjoyed the free foot spa from the small fishes. Then our last visited was the beautiful nature of wakan village. Our guide was helpful to carry our things while we are walking around 700 steps

Wakan Village trip - It was more than700 steps we did to reach the top the higher you get the better views to see. And we had so beautiful photos and videos from the top. You need to save power when you go to visit this wakan village and make sure you have the bottle of water with you. Tired but really worth it to see this village.

Good way to sample interior from Muscat - Good way to view the interior and find a sense of solitude and views. Nakhal fort was undergoing restoration at time of visit so that was disappointing and the springs are nothing special - probably the option of Al Jabrin/Nizwa/Bahla might have been better. Driver Abdul, whilst late in arrival, was upbeat throughout and ready to answer any questions. Organised a good cheap lunch in Nakhal. Vehicle used was good quality 4WD,
