• Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - Our journey begins at the stunning Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, renowned as one of the most beautiful mosques in the world. This magnificent structure captivates all who visit. It houses the world’s largest handmade carpet and features a breathtaking chandelier crafted entirely from SWAROVSKI crystals, gracing its double dome.
• Royal Opera House - Next, we visit the Royal Opera House Muscat. While such venues are typically found in the former USSR and Europe, it was Sultan Qaboos, educated in England, who envisioned and realized this modern architectural marvel in Oman. Visitors should note that a separate entrance fee is required to enter the Royal Opera House.
• Qurum Beach - The city beach of Muscat
• Mutrah Fort - Before reaching our final destination, we will ascend to the observation deck at “Fort Matrah,” situated on a hill. After climbing just 200 steps, you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the entire seaport, and it is truly worth the effort.
• Mutrah Souq - Are you aware of what local Omanis enjoy drinking besides Arabic coffee? It’s the legendary “KARAK” tea. If you visit Oman and haven’t tried this tea, it’s as if you haven’t truly experienced Oman. We will stop at a non-touristic spot to indulge in this delightful and unique beverage. After enjoying the tea, we will explore the old part of the city and the traditional Matrah market, known for its Arabic aromas, spices, local attire, and as the primary location for purchasing incense.
