- Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - This will be a photo stop from the outside only. Our Muscat City Tour begins at the Grand Mosque, one of the world’s largest mosques, open from Saturday to Thursday between 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. It is closed on Fridays. Here, you can marvel at the second-largest handmade carpet globally and the renowned chandelier in the main prayer hall. After leaving the mosque,
- Mohammed Al Ameen Mosque - This will also be a photo stop from the outside only. This relatively new mosque is situated slightly above the city, offering stunning views of the city with the Hajar Mountains in the background.
- Royal Opera House - We will then drive by the Opera House, where you can either visit inside or take a photo stop. The Royal Opera House Muscat is Oman’s leading venue for musical arts and culture, located in the Shati Al-Qurm district on Sultan Qaboos Street.
- Qurum Beach - Next, we will continue driving along the beautiful beach road of Shatti Qurum.
- Mutrah Souq - From here, we will walk along the corniche to the famous Mutrah Souq, a vibrant market with numerous small alleyways and passages filled with a variety of souvenirs, antiques, and charming treasures.
- Al Alam Palace - Our next stop is the magnificent Al Alam Palace in old Muscat, the official palace of His Majesty Royal Highness Sultan Qaboos.
- Al Jalali Fort - It is flanked by the 16th-century Portuguese forts Mirani & Jalali. The tour concludes here, and you can request to be dropped off anywhere in Muscat.

Must see Muscat - Khalil the guide was very helpful and patient with me on the tour and took me on a great trip around Muscat showing me the top places despite some places being closed off he was able to find different opportunities and give me good advice for the rest of the trip.

Muscat in a nutshell - Saif is a competent and well informed Guide/driver.
He has good English and takes the trouble to explain the background to the various sites visited. I have engaged him for further tour tomorrow.

Stunning Muscat in the evening. - We had an amazing evening with the insightful and friendly Hamood. Cannot recommend him enough not only his relaxed informative manner but also the way he interacted with our 5 year old daughter. The Grand Mosque was stunning and be at the Mosque and Corniche at sunset was beautiful, the time at each place was brilliant when you have a 5 year olds attention span in the group and there was plenty of lovely photo opportunities. Thank you so much Hamood for showing us the beauties of Muscat.

Said is an amazing guide - This is a perfect excursion to take a closer look at Muscat's architectural and historic wonders.
Said collected us on time from our hotel and drove nicey in his v. clean 4x4 from site to site. Being a local he knew so much about the history of the city and was v. happy answering questions. Best of all, Said was well known at the souk so we weren't heavily pestered by the stallholders!
No hesitation booking again and ask for Said!

Nice trip to book end of afternoon. - Fun tour with enthusiastic guide who knew a lot about opera house and mosque. His was Saïd el kiyumi.

Afternoon trip around Muscat - We had an afternoon trip around the city. We visited the mosque from outside, opera house inside, approached the Sultan palace and drove to old Muscat. Mohammed was very polite and helpful, stopped for good views, took photos for us. Thank you!

Magnificent Muscat!!!! - Said was a wonderful guide! It was an amazing experience. We highly recommend this tour and visiting Oman!! I have been coming here for years on business, but this is the first time I have taken some time out to experience Muscat.
Said accommodated all our needs and then some, you can't go wrong with this company, and Said was a great host:)

Great insight into a country that I did not know much about. - Much covered in tour….was to go for 4 hours but mine went for 5 hours … very generous. If you have only a short time in Muscat I highly recommend going on this tour & using this company. My guide Hamood was reliable, caring, adaptable, very knowledgeable & had great communication skills. Thankyou Hamood & Star Tours.
