Worth it - Johny was such a nice and knowledgeable guide and we are really glad he was our guid. Robert was an excellent driver. Hapsburg castle was really cool. But the star of the tour is the town of Rothenburg.

Love this tour - We had a great time ! Jacqueline our guide was fantastic . She made sure that we received all the information on how to navigate our time in Rothenburg which was the highlight for us. The bus ride which took a couple of hours went very smoothly with our driver . I say when in Munich , book this tour . Spend a day to view the beautiful sights outside the city .

Excellent! Absolutely a must if you are in Munich!! - Seeing this beautiful medieval city was worth every penny!!! Our guide Johnny and driver Barry were excellent. Very knowledgeable and were engaging. The photos I have are priceless and would highly recommend. We are a family of 6 and my children loved it!

Beautiful day trip! - Very pleased with the tour! Everything was well organized and very informative. Our tour guide Monika was very knowledgeable and entertaining on the bus drive. Beautiful opportunity to see areas of Bavaria that are hard to reach without a car. Would recommend!!

Best day trip from Munich - The best trip from Munich and it's because of the operator. Gray Line has nailed this. Great program, very comfortable coach, smart driver and the best part is the guide. Monika is a very knowledgeable, sweet and kind lady. The way she told us about the history during the trip was great. She had recommendations for everything and they were so perfect. I wish I did my other day trips from Munich with them.

Day trip - Almost all the shops and restaurants were closed at this period. Crowds were at a minimum. The criminal museum is good information and can spend an hour in there.

Lovely town but a long journey on the bus - It was a cold day when we went on this trip with some snow around. All the lakes and rivers were frozen. It’s a long day, around 10 hours. The first stop was Harburg castle. The castle was okay but only mildly interesting. Maybe we are just spoilt for castles in Scotland! The journey to Rothenburg was not what I expected. I thought we would see lots of nice Bavarian towns but there is a lot of countryside and some small ordinary villages and some quarries and cement factories that you pass. Rothenburg is beautiful, no doubt. In January a lot of the businesses are closed. After a 3 hour visit we set off on the 3 hour bus journey back to Munich. The guide Monica was lovely and very interesting and informative whilst Boris, the driver, got us to and from our destination safely.
