• Neuschwanstein Castles, Schwangau - The renowned Fairytale Castle NEUSCHWANSTEIN is one of Germany’s most beloved landmarks. Its enchanting beauty, inspired by Wagner’s operatic characters, captivates visitors worldwide. You can choose to walk to the castle, take the shuttle bus (not available during snow and ice), or ride a horse-drawn carriage –> see “Additional Info” for details. The guided tour of Neuschwanstein Castle lasts approximately 35 minutes, followed by a 15-minute self-guided walk through additional rooms, with your guide providing insights into their unique features.
• Marienbrücke - Queen Mary’s Bridge (“Marienbrücke”) - THE TOP VIEWPOINT - constructed in 1866 by King Ludwig II, is one of the world’s most famous. It is easily accessible by a shuttle bus (€ 4.00 per person) from the parking lot or via a pleasant 40-minute uphill hike. From the bridge, you can reach the castle entrance with a 20-minute downhill walk, passing another stunning viewpoint! PLEASE NOTE: For departures after 8 a.m., there may be waiting times for both the shuttle bus and bridge access. However, we can show you another spectacular viewpoint nearby without any wait. In snowy and icy conditions, the bridge is inaccessible, and Neuschwanstein Castle can only be reached on foot or by a horse-drawn hybrid carriage.
• Burgenwelten Ehrenberg - Welcome to the historic Ehrenberg Castle Ensemble, where history meets modern and thrilling technology!

The 13th-century Ehrenberg castle ruins are the centerpiece of one of Central Europe’s most significant fortress complexes. It once served as a formidable defense facility, administrative seat, and customs station. An experiential museum brings visitors closer to the area’s history and natural surroundings. The various historic rooms provide a fitting setting for events of all kinds.

At the entrance of the castle ruins, the spectacular “Highline179” pedestrian suspension bridge spans the valley at a height of 114 meters (374 feet). It is an attraction for all ages, year-round. A lift (€ 9.00 per adult roundtrip) replaces the 20-minute ascent on foot.

• Highline179 - The incredibly long pedestrian suspension bridge “Highline 179” spans the “Ehrenberg valley” at a dizzying height. With its impressive 406 meters (1,332 feet) in length, it is officially the world’s longest pedestrian bridge in the Tibet style. The crossing is entirely safe for children and offers breathtaking views! If you dare to cross it, you will reach a spectacular viewpoint and the baroque Fort Claudia after a 10-minute walk.

A top-notch attraction for all ages seeking an extra adrenaline rush!

For those less adventurous, enjoy the view of this engineering marvel and the surrounding mountains from numerous vantage points. There is no need to enter or cross the bridge!

The “Ehrenberg Liner” lift (€ 9.00 per adult roundtrip) replaces the 20-minute ascent on foot.

• Top Liner - up to the top - The Top Liner is the second section of the lift that takes you to the suspension bridge entrance. In just 3 minutes, it ascends 190 meters (623 feet) to the highest point in the Ehrenberg castle world, the Schlosskopf panoramic mountain with its 18th-century fortifications. • Oberammergau - OBERAMMERGAU - Due to the Corona crisis, the world-famous Passion Play was postponed for the first time since WWII. The major event, typically held every decade, was rescheduled to 2022.

On a guided tour of the village, we will gladly show you the Passion Play Theatre and its impressive “Cabrio Stage,” along with the charming wall paintings. During a stroll through the historic center, discover numerous shops offering a wide range of souvenirs, including the famous Oberammergau wood carvings.

Just a short distance by car is: THE BRIDGE - Traversing this impressive steel structure, anchored securely to 8 rocks, is not a task for the timid – GET READY FOR THE ADRENALINE RUSH! Its high safety railings covered by nets render it entirely safe, even for youngsters! And it remains accessible throughout the year.

For those troubled by acrophobia, you can appreciate this architectural marvel from various viewpoints - such as the 700-year old EHRENBERG castle ruin - without ever stepping onto it!

• Are you able to walk slightly uphill from the car park to Neuschwanstein castle (approx. 1,5 km/1mile in an hour’s time)? (If not, the horse carriage or the Shuttle bus (not operating during snow and ice) must be used – anyway, an approx. 450 meters/0.28 miles uphill walk (up to 15 % slope) or an approx. 500 meters/0.31 miles downhill walk (up to 19 % gradient) from the respective terminal to the entrance of the castle have to be managed in any case!) Your guide can assist your group to make sure that you’ll find your way. - In Neuschwanstein castle there are 346 stairs alltogether (up and down) to be managed.  If this is too much for you and if you have an appropriate medical certificate of disability or resstriction of mobility or similar (must be scanned and posted in advance), an exclusive lift service only for you with a maximum of one companion, accompanied by a castle-staff could be booked. The elevator service is without additional costs, but the number of  tours with that service is very limited and must be reconfirmed by the castle authorities. PLEASE NOTE: If you may need the lift service please inform us IMMEDIATELY after your booking! - To Hohenschwangau castle there is a carriage service (not in winter season) almost from door-to-door. You have to climb stairs up to the 3rd floor and back (no elevator).
