Getting familiar with Munich - Super way to get familiar with Munich. We got the 2 day ticket which gave us time to explore and spend time at the best sites.

Good for a quick tour and get-around - A good way to quickly get around to most must visit locations in Munich, get off andd visit them, and then moving on to the next point of interest.

Easy To Find, Informative for a First Day Tour - The location was easy to find, the people were helpful, and the trip was fast. It was a good first day tour to see where we would like to go on our "easy" and "explore" days of the city. We took the train to Hauptbanhoff, and it was another 5 min walk to their location. You can also take the street cars, where everything stops at their Hauptbanhoff (or equivalent to NYC's Central Station), and take the short walk to where the big red buses are parked by the sidewalk. There are eating places right as we finished and got off at the starting point.

Still good - Actually, 2 out of 3 rides were really good and informative. However, the last trip with the blue line was a minor disaster for me. I was happy to be on the bus for the first time and finally got a seat up front. Then a family with two boys got in. They sat right next to me and took out their phones and watched and listened loudly to an Arabic movie, feet on the shelf on the window. The mother sat behind the boys and the father sat behind me and he either made a loud phone call to someone or listened loudly to voice messages and dropped them off himself. Why did they take the bus for a lot of money if it wasn't interesting??? At some point my collar popped, because on their own they did not come up with the idea that their behavior is completely off...the father just asked: Problem? I said, YES It's a shame I couldn't enjoy half the ride. The little son, about 5 years old, was allowed to continue watching the film 🙄

Not really worth it in my experience - This service is okay but definitely had a few hiccups. First, we went to the "office" (a little bus permanently parked on Sonnenstraẞe at Karlsplatz, and the person working at the office had no idea what our voucher meant. It was a Viator voucher for two hop on hop off bus passes for 24 hours. She asked us to come back in an hour when another person would be there to help us. This was annoying, because we were going to waste an hour of our trip hanging around waiting for this person, but we didn't mind too much. After an hour a lady showed up who knew exactly what our voucher was and we quickly received our bus passes. Unfortunately a bus had just left, so now we had to wait another hour for the next bus. Once these issues were resolved we found the service to be okay, but a couple of things were a problem. First, the buses were never on time - total guesswork to figure out when they were going to arrive. Second, the narration on the buses (you plug some free headphones into a little plug and choose your language/volume) was often out of sync and therefore pretty useless. Trust me, stick to ground transportation instead of these hop on hop off buses, and you'll be much happier.

Signposting at the station was quite bad. - We found her office at the main station very bad, which annoyed us a lot. Her staff was very friendly and helpful.
