Awesome trip to Herrenchiemsee Palace with Stephanie - We had a terrific tour experience at Herrenchiemsee Palace with Stephanie. I recommend seeing Herrenchiemsee as it is a magnificent palace modeled after Versailles set on a private island in a lake (reached by vintage steam train and scenic boat ride). As this palace is the last of Prince Ludwig’s projects, this tour nicely complements a tour of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Palaces. Our guide, Stephanie, is very knowledgeable about the history of the House of Wittelsbach, Prince Ludwig as well as the architectural details of Ludwig’s castles which gave me an appreciation of details that I would have missed without her thoughtful commentary. Stephanie is also very positive, upbeat and outgoing as she engaged all of us in her group in conversation which familiarized us with each other. When we became discouraged and disinterested in continuing the tour because of heavy rain, she motivated us all to press forward which rewarded us with a lovely scenic walk around the woman’s island, Fraueninsel, and a lunch where we all tried Kaiserschmarrn pancake with apple sauce at Klosterwirt Chiemsee. I highly recommend this tour with Stephanie as she is an outstanding tour guide..

Amazing tour with wow factor. - I booked this trip to Herrenchiemsee castle with radius tours. I was met by my guide Thomas. He was friendly and attentive to the group, and had a lot of knowledge of the area we were visiting. I would book this tour with radius tours, since to get to the castle, you have to take a two trains and a boat, and the hassle of organising the trip independently is removed. I would recommend visiting the castle, as the rooms inside the castle are beautifully decorated, and there is a lot of intricate detail to admire in each room. The gardens surrounding the castle are stunning. This castle is in a lake, and for lunch, we were brought to another island in the lake, which was interesting to see. Having a guide on this trip is useful, since a boat is used for transport, and there are many stops, which can cause confusion. I would recommend this trip as a worthwhile day trip from Munich.

Spectacular - I had never done a tour using rail before but the area is so remote there are not a lot of options if you are not driving. Amazing. Well organised. Lots of options. It is a long day but we’ll worth it

We had a day trip from... - We had a day trip from Munich to Chiemsee by train and back. Our guide, Maxine, was excellent. She was very organized, informative, friendly and experienced. Her pleasant personality added to our trip. Also our relatively small tour group of eight got along well which added to an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful experience - Enriching experience, Stephanie accompanied us throughout the day, with little care. I will keep a memory for a long time Louis II and his castles. Thank you a lot, dear Stephanie.
