Best experience ever - This was an awesome tour. Steve was extremely knowledgeable. He shared information that we never heard previously. Very thorough in providing detailed information about what happened in this era,

Excellent tour of Dachau. - Richard was an excellent guide. He provided detailed information about the suffering the prisoners experienced at the hands of the brutal SS guards. His presentation was factual but respectful to the plight of the prisoners. I highly recommend this tour with Richard.

Did 2 tours with this company - both great - We did two different tours with this company, and both were excellent and worth it. The Dachau day trip with Richard was really special and I recommend it highly. We also did the 2 hour city walking tour and that was a great way to get a feeling for the place and some local knowledge.

Thoughtful and confronting - This was an excellent tour. It started with a 10 minute train journey and a short bus ride. Our guide Achim was so knowledgeable and presented the information extremely well. He gave a very thoughtful overview of the conditions at the time that led to the building of Dachau, the blueprint for all concentration camps to follow, but it was also very accessible. He never lost our interest. Its not an easy place to visit, you are confronted with the horror and evil of the regime at the time and spared none of it, which is appropriate and correct. I would highly recommend this tour and special thanks to Achim.

Brilliant tour, brilliant guide (Jake!) - Jake, the guide, was brilliant!!! This was such a good tour, I didn't know anything about Dachau before the tour. Jake was great, gave so much history and explained so many little details. He made the tour really personal, both by talking about family history and getting to know everyone in the group. If you are visiting Munich this tour has to be on your to-do list and it's an added bonus if Jake is your guide! Really good value for money too!

Great tour but very rushed - The tor was very informative and provided a great amount of information about the concentration camp and what the SS did there. However, it was extremely rushed and we did not get the time to see the entire camp or the memorials which was very disappointing. Aileen was very informative, but it was obvious that she had a schedule that had to be met and that caused a rushed feeling by all the attendees. In fact, it was hard to keep up with the group since we were required to move so fast.

A must see if you are in Munich - The tour is well organized. From the meeting location to the transportation to the Concentration camp and back. Lucia was our guide from Radius Tours and she was friendly, knowledgeable and personable which are great traits to have for a tour guide. The experience at Dachau is educational, humbling and leads to introspection. In this regard I could have not asked for any more.
The two things you should be aware of when using a tour service. Being on time is key. If not you can be left behind. Second, there wasn't enough time to fully explore the camp. If I had to do it again, I would have taken the train myself, transferred to the bus and saw the camp at my pace.

Hard to Hear at Dachau - Patricia was hard to hear at some points due to a large group of 27 and no hearing devices. A group of this size should be done with a Quiet Vox or similar appliance. Her accent also made certain phrases hard to understand.

We should have gone on our own - While its nice that the tour guide purchases tickets for the train and knows where to get off, you could purchase your train tickets and use Google to find what train, time, and where to depart from the train to pick up a bus to Dachau. The guide was very nice and patient but the group was too large and made it difficult to hear. We would have preferred touring Dachau at our own pace and reading the display signage in the museum.

Nope - Took a tour with Eric and was floored by how rude he was. I asked him to speak up (he has low tone barely above a normal conversational level) and he said he wouldn’t, asking me to instead wade my through a herd of fellow guests standing closely to each other with their umbrellas open to get closer. Combined with his incessant need to editorialize on the differences between men and women (is that really necessary on a tour if a Nazi concentration camp?), I really regret paying for this. For anyone else considering it, I would recommend researching the transit route to get there yourself. The site has listening devices to help you learn about the camp and it will help you see more if the museum. With Eric, we only got to see maybe 10% of it because he wouldn’t give us the time to explore it on our own.
