A chance to see a part of Bahrain not often seen. - We are regular visitors to Bahrain and we really enjoyed this tour. Our guide and driver were really friendly and welcoming and the tour was conducted at a comfortable pace (no rushing to the next attraction). It was really interesting to see some original architecture and learn about the previous owners and their place in Bahrain’s history. We really got to see a part of the Island that not many people bother to visit. If you’ve been on some of the other Bahrain tours, we would definitely recommend booking this one.

Pleasant day of exploring a ruin - The fort was a half hour walk from my hotel, which was next to the Seef Mall. The ruins of the fort made for a pleasant and interesting afternoon of exploration. There is a museum nearby that offers an electronic guided tour. You have to pay for this, and for the entrance to the museum, but the ruin itself is free. There is an alfresco cafe next to the sea where you can have a quiet drink and chat. Apparently, there is a light show at night, although we didn't stay for it.
