Ships Cemetery - Embark on a scenic drive from Nukus to Muynak, covering 202 km in approximately 2.5 hours. Upon reaching Muynak, the first highlight of the Jeep adventure is the renowned ship cemetery of Moynak (Muynaq).
The Regional History and Aral Sea Museum - Following the cemetery visit, proceed to the Museum of Regional History and the Aral Sea in Muynak City, just a 5-minute drive covering 2.5 km. This museum offers a unique glimpse into the past with exhibits, household items, artifacts, and paintings by Soviet artists, showcasing the history and transformation of the Aral Sea. Visitors can also enjoy a short documentary about Muynak’s historical lifestyle.
Aral Sea - After enjoying lunch at a guest house in Muynak, travel to the Aral Sea, a journey of 180 kilometers taking about 4 hours. En route, explore the cemetery of nomads who once inhabited the area and capture stunning photos of the Great Canyon. Upon reaching the Aral Sea shore, settle into a yurt camp and relax. If the weather permits, enjoy a swim and capture the breathtaking view of millions of stars.
Aral Sea Shore – Ustyurt Plateau – Sudochye Lake – Mizdahan Necropolis – Nukus
Ustyurt Plateau - Rise early to photograph the sunrise over the sea. After breakfast, head to the Ustyurt Plateau to visit the “Komsomolsk” settlement, a 50 km drive taking about an hour. Here, capture images of camels and horses, and savor fresh natural camel milk in the village.
Sudochye Lake - Travel from the Komsomolsk Settlement to Sudochye Lake, a 60 km journey taking about an hour. Upon arrival, explore the ancient Light House hill, where you can see the remnants of a hospital, cane houses, and an old fish factory. Engage with local fishermen and observe the diverse bird species inhabiting the area.
Mizdakhan Necropolis - Journey from Sudochye Lake to the Kungrad district for lunch, covering 100 kilometers in 2 hours off-road. After lunch, proceed to the Mizdakhan necropolis, a 100 km drive taking 1 hour and 30 minutes. This archaeological complex features the ancient Giaur-Kala fortress and numerous mausoleums, including those of Princess Mazlumkhan Sulu and Shamun Nabi. After exploring these historical sites, travel from Mizdakhan to Nukus, a 22 km drive taking 30 minutes.
