- Magwood Drive - Visitors will pass by the residence of the first commercial shrimper on Shem Creek and observe the “shrimp shacks,” where the original shrimpers resided in this historic neighborhood.
- Shem Creek - Visitors will stroll past the Captain Peter Lewis House (1855) and discuss the significance of the ferry system that once operated on Shem Creek.
- Hibben Street - Visitors will view the Hibben House, the oldest standing structure in the town, dating back to the mid-1700s. History will reveal how commercial shrimping began in the area.

The first part of the tour delves into the area’s history, discussing events dating back to the early 1700s, while the second part focuses specifically on the Shrimp Industry. This is not just a tour; it is an experience that immerses you in the Shem Culture. Guests will leave with a sense of history, culture, language, and most importantly, a deep appreciation for the local shrimpers and the rich history of these hardworking men and women.
