Great Zoo & Animals - We bought our Captain Cook ferry and Taronga Zoo combo tickets on Tripadvisor the morning of our trip. We took the cheap light rail train from our hotel in Chinatown to Circular Quay and traded in our ticket for ferry and zoo admission tickets. Caught the next ferry which went directly to the zoo pier. When you get off the pier take a free city bus or a free zoo bus to the top of the zoo entrance. That way you will mostly be walking downhill as you explore the zoo. Since we are zoo people we spent most of the day looking at animals from Australia. When we entered we asked a zoo volunteer the best places to see koalas and platypus. He said there are only two mating koalas in the exhibit to the right of the main entrance. He said to watch more koalas go to Koala Country. There were a lot of koalas in trees and in areas were guests can get a quick close encounter for $A15. For platypus he said to go to the Nocturnal Country. There is one platypus in a large pool that is very active. Volunteer said to get down by the glass and he will swim by. The other platypus is in an outdoor area which is very hard to find. We did stop for the Seals for the Wild show and had lunch at the Taronga Food Market. We did look at some other animals along the way.

Not to be missed - What a great day we had at the zoo. We managed to get to a lot of the "shows" and thoroughly enjoyed the sealion show and the free flight bird show was stunning. As an aside there were also great views of the city. The animal keepers were so proud to tell about their animals. A great day - not to be missed

Nice and well arranged - Nice and well organized. Nice that you went in to the animals in some places! Negative, as is so often the case - small areas for the animals and not so interesting to spend your whole life on. At least not concrete and steel cages

Needs more signage so... - Needs more signage so people are not walking in circles. Plus a lot of the animals weren't out. Didn't see much of what I came to see.

Dreadful experience - Zoo very poor run down. All the animals asleep. All eating place's closed. Why take booking at 2pm when all closed at 3pm. Deceitful. What a waste of money and time. Never again 🤢

Terrible Quality Merch - Worse customer service - Visited the zoo back in October. Purchased some mementos. One being a kids cup for my 4yr old. Quality terrible - all the graphics came off within 3 weeks. Reached out. Got an apology and a ‘we will send you another’. Never did. They just lie to you. Shame.

My fifirst and bad shopping on this application. - I don't understand why the price was displayed in US dollars when I am in Australia and purchased from Australia. The price is not specified before purchase, which is confusing and ultimately makes it more expensive.
