The Chemka oasis is a remarkable natural wonder, being the sole location in Tanzania, and likely in all of East Africa, where groundwater interacts with geothermal sources. This interaction creates several small lakes with warm, continuously flowing water, whose clarity rivals that of top resorts in the Dominican Republic or the Maldives.

This paradise place, oasis, has absolutely fantastic views and justifies any expectations, we are talking about the hot springs Chemka. In the past, due to tectonic activity in the region, groundwater began to interact with geothermal sources and gradually formed a network of small lakes.

A Hidden Oasis – Must Visit! - Chemka Hot Springs was an amazing experience with Innocent! Crystal-clear turquoise water, shaded by lush trees, makes it feel like a secret paradise. It’s refreshing, not hot, but warm, perfect for swimming or relaxing. The rope swing adds a fun touch. Innocent was very caring and made sure I was safe in and out of the water. A bit off the beaten path, but totally worth the trip. I had an amazing time! Thank you innocent!

One of the most relaxing sundays Ive had in a while - The tour company worked with me for a special tour to Materuni and Chemka springs. It was an easy, pleasurable experience. My guide was kind, professional and funny so the day flew by full of beautiful, awe inspiring sights and laughs. I HIGHLY recommend this tour company!

Wonderful excursion to this small Paradise oasis - Hi,
this was an excellent Tour, which i can recommend!
I wanted to do something relaxing as I was tired from Trekking at Kilimanjaro. So this Tour was exactely what i needed.
As many people say, the springs are Not hot, but who needs hot water If its 30 degrees outside. It was Like beeing in an oasis in the middle of nowhere.
I liked the Driver a Lot! He was calm, was explaining me some Things Just in the right "amount" i was ready to "digest" . He was very helpful and Had good humor!
Summary:
It was a pleasant Journey and i would recommend it!

Beautiful but not really "hot"! - We had a pleasant day trip to the springs. The temperature is nice but not hot. The fish massage is interesting.
The roast goat for lunch was delicious
