The best gift shop in Tanzania, with the best staff! - We found everything we needed at the Mama Africa gift shop! Absolutely worth a stop in Moshi. Peter is incredibly helpful and patient, and has a large variety of wonderful souvenirs, pieces of art, gifts, and more. Unique items that we didn't see anywhere else. Thanks Peter for making it so easy to buy gifts for family and friends (and some beautiful items for our home), we hope to be back!

Much more than a gift shop - Mama Africa has been much more than just a shop to us, even though it surely is a shop where you can find everything you need. The staff has gone above and beyond to help us get the trip of our lives. If you visit town, visiting Mama Africa is a must and we couldn’t be more grateful for all the memories created there!

Have a wide range of souvenirs - A lovely shop full of beautiful artwork and souvenirs to take take home with helpful people. They have a wide range of stuff from jewellery to paintings that are good quality and nice to have to remember your time in Tanzania :)

Amazing gift shop with more than fair prices - Peter (the shop owner) spent most of the day with us and gave us amazing tips what we can and should do around Moshi. He didn't force us to buy anything in his shop, but we ended up buying too much because the things there are so beautiful

Beautiful custom made paintings - It's a beautiful shop where you can find art, jewelry, bags and so on :) all things are made in Tanzania and if you buy something you support a NGO at the same time - win win situation! I ordered 4 custom made paintings and was stoked about the outcomes! Peter, who's the owner of the shop, is a lovely and kind guy who takes time for you and your wishes. He helped me to find the most beautiful pieces for my family and friends (all of them loved their gifts) and moreover he became a very good friend during the 4 months I stayed in Moshi. Totally recommend it!
