The Journey Begins: Moshi to Mti Mkubwa

As the sun rose over Moshi, I found myself filled with anticipation and a touch of nervous excitement. The Lemosho Route on Kilimanjaro awaited, a path renowned for its breathtaking beauty and challenging terrain. My guide, Amin, met me at the lodge, his calm demeanor and extensive knowledge immediately putting me at ease. We went through a meticulous equipment check, ensuring that I was prepared for the seven-day trek ahead.

The drive to Londorossi Gate was a journey in itself, winding through lush landscapes and vibrant local communities. Upon arrival, the park registration process was seamless, thanks to the efficient organization by the team at Burigi Chato Safaris. As we set off from Lemosho Gate, the dense forest enveloped us, and I was delighted to spot the striking black and white colobus monkeys swinging through the trees.
