Situated 15 km northward from Moshi, Materuni Village serves as the final stop before reaching Kilimanjaro National Park which is approximately 95 km away from Africa Safari Arusha. The path towards the village winds slowly through banana plantations and quaint local communities. The villagers are genuinely hospitable, extending cordial invitations to visit their Materuni homes. An English-speaking local will accompany you on a village tour. After a brief orientation, you will be directed on a leisurely 40-minute trek to the cascading waters. The scenic route through a lush forest of tropical trees culminates at an awe-inspiring waterfall, standing 80 meters tall. There will be opportunities for relaxation and swimming by the falls, so, remember to bring a swimsuit.
