Exploring Lake Chala is an enchanting experience that reconnects visitors with nature.
Chala is home to an extensive array of incredible trees, grasses, and plants, some of which are exclusive to the region. Depending on the season, there are hundreds of butterfly and bird species, including magnificent birds of prey. The African Fish Eagle, known for its hunting prowess, Verreaux’s Eagle, Augur Buzzards, and many other bird species can be observed around the crater walls.
The wildlife includes a range of mammals from monkeys and baboons to dik-dik, kudu, and elephants. Chala is an unspoiled part of an ancient land and is a must-visit destination.
