This path comes from the southeastern direction of the mountain, often referred to as the “Coca Cola“ route. Since 1889, this route has been in use, marking it as the oldest.
A majority of visitors choose this path due to the simplicity of the ascent and the dormitory-like huts that serve as accommodations. The route can be completed in a minimum of five days, but a six-day climb is advised to maximize the ease of reaching the peak.
Guided by expert mountaineers, you’ll adjust gradually to the altitude along this frequently travelled ascent path, traversing a range of landscapes from lush rainforests to barren arctic desert. Porters carry the equipment, while the kitchen staff prepares meals, leading to a comfortable journey. Accommodations in wooden huts are included as well. Once the climb is completed, you can reflect on your accomplishments from a local hotel at the base of the mountain.
