After the repast, we continued to visit the region and, in contrast to the morning visit, the next cellar is a symbol of modernity, whether in terms of the building, equipment or production methods.
After the visit and wine tasting, return to the starting point in Coimbra.

The Dão Demarcated Region is characterized as a plateau encircled by various mountains, with vineyards situated at altitudes ranging from 400 to 700 meters. This area boasts distinctive soil, climate, and grape varieties that contribute to the production of exceptional wines. Often referred to as the Portuguese Burgundy, the Dão region is renowned for its velvety, full-bodied wines with remarkable acidity, and its red wines possess excellent aging potential. Meanwhile, the white wines are noted for their fruity aromas and refreshing qualities.
This tour offers an invitation to explore one of the region’s oldest and most iconic wineries. Participants will have the opportunity to taste their wines, wander through vineyards that narrate 200 years of history, and enjoy a lunch featuring one of the region’s traditional dishes, such as veal à Dão Lafões or oven-roasted cabrito (lamb).
Following the meal, the tour continues with a visit to another winery, which contrasts with the morning’s experience by showcasing modernity in its architecture, equipment, and production techniques.
