An unforgettable Uluguru Adventure! - We cannot recommend Evance and Assa from Kurimbizi Tours highly enough! From the very beginning, organising the trip with Evance was smooth sailing. He was incredibly helpful, always punctual with replies, and impressively patient while we arranged payments. Our secondary students had the BEST time on their hiking trip in the Uluguru Mountains. Everything was organised to perfection – from the moment they picked us up to when they dropped us off at the train station, the whole experience ran seamlessly. The camping setup and gear were excellent, and the team’s cheerful, supportive presence kept the kids motivated even during long hours of hiking. Reaching the summit together as a group was a truly unforgettable moment. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful – hats off to the incredible chef! Evance and Assa were incredibly accommodating throughout, always prioritising the needs of the kids and teachers. Honestly, we couldn’t find a single fault. Thank you so much, Evance and Assa, for an INCREDIBLE hiking adventure. We can’t wait to work with you again, both for school trips and for staff outings!

2 Nights 3 Days at Uluguru Mountains - We were a group of four students arriving by train from Dar es Salaam. If you plan to do the same, make sure to note that the station in Morogoro is likely the Jakaya Kikwete SGR Station. Our guide, Azaria, met us at the Oasis Hotel, and from there we started our walking tour. Azaria was a thoughtful and knowledgeable guide who shared many insights about the local culture, the people of Morogoro, and life in Tanzania in general. Along the way, he also pointed out interesting details about the local wildlife and plant life, which added depth to the experience. On the first day, we visited the waterfall — a truly beautiful spot with refreshing (but cold) water. Lunch was delicious, and we had the chance to learn more about traditional mat weaving and pottery-making, which was both educational and engaging. Camping at Morning Side was comfortable, and the view from there was simply breathtaking. We also thoroughly enjoyed the hike the following day and had a wonderful time at the camp surrounded by Strawberry Farming. All in all, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish - enriching and full of memorable moments.

Amazing weekend in Uluguru Mountains! - The tour was amazing, we met locals to practice our Kiswahili, took way too many photos of stunning views, beautiful plants, and special animals as the three-horned chameleon, primates high up in the trees and the green mamba snake. The food was excellent during the trip and there was a vegetarian option. At the end of our trip, we also went into Morogoro for a soko (market) tour. Evance was an amazing tour guide with excellent knowledge of the nature and culture!

Recommend it allround! - We did two hiking trips with Evans; to Uluguru Mountains and Mount Meru. We really enjoyed both hikes. Everything was arranged well. Evans is a really nice and funny guy. We had a good time with him on the moutains. He knows a lot about animals and plants and likes to tell you all about it. Also the contact was easy. We would definitely recommend him as a tourguide.

Great cultural experience - We went on a three day hike with Evance in the hills around Morogoro and a Maasai village nearby and had a wonderful time! Evance was super friendly, knowledgable and a great guide throughout. The people we met on the tour gave us an incredible, genuine insight into daily life for the people living in the mountains and preparing a meal of cassava, coconut ugali and sweet chai tea made from milk straight from the cow was an absolute highlight! The Maasai village at the end of the tour was a complete contrast to the mountain villages and the goat barbecue was delicious!
