Erfoud - A vast oasis, Erfoud is the capital of Tafilalet in southeastern Morocco, north of Rissani, the birthplace of the Alawite dynasty. Erfoud retains some traditional adobe houses and is located at one end of the Ziz road, accessible through the Foum Zabel tunnel, constructed by the Foreign Legion in 1928.

Todra River - As the sun rises, leave the desert behind and head towards Erfoud, known as the gateway to the Sahara. Explore fascinating fossil workshops and learn about the region’s rich geological history. Continue to the picturesque town of Tinghir, nestled in the Todra Gorge.
