Great experience under the good hands of Idriss our guide - We had a wonderful experience on this tour and it truly exceeded our expectations. Idriss our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and very attentive throughout the entire journey. What stood out the most was how well-organized everything was. The pacing was just right—never rushed, yet we managed to see all the key highlights. Definitely a memorable experience. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a smooth, informative, and enjoyable trip.

From Skeptical to Blown Away. Idriss Earned Our Trust Immediately - We just got back from an incredible trip to Morocco and I feel obligated to write this for anyone who is on the fence about booking with Idriss and Jrana Morocco Travel.
I’ll be honest. We were extremely skeptical at first. Sending a wire transfer to someone we’ve never met, in Morocco of all places, felt like a great way to learn a very expensive lesson. The only reason we moved forward is because we were referred to Idriss by a close friend that we trust, who had an amazing experience with him. We are very glad we listened to her.
Our initial communication was all via email and Idriss was always quick to respond, especially considering the time difference. When our anxiety got the best of us, we decided to just call him. He answered right away, talked us through everything, and immediately helped put our minds at ease.
The moment we knew we made the right decision was when he met us at the airport, walked us out to a clean, newer Mercedes van, and got us on our way. From that point forward, everything was seamless.
He planned an incredible trip for us. We drove from Marrakech through the Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate, stayed at a beautiful hotel, then continued on to Erg Chebbi where we stayed in what can only be described as a luxury tent in the Sahara Desert. It was unreal. On the way back, he even helped us book a flight from Errachidia to Marrakech so we could skip a long drive. We finished the trip exploring the markets in Marrakech and stayed at another amazing hotel that we honestly wish we had more time to enjoy.
What really sets Idriss apart is how much he genuinely cares about your experience. He coordinated local guides along the way, but he stayed with us the entire trip and made sure everything went smoothly. There were multiple moments where things could have gone sideways, like when the airline initially wouldn’t accept our bags because we arrived a few minutes late. Idriss stepped in, handled it with the right people, and somehow made it a non-issue. Situations like that alone made the trip worth it.
Travel in Morocco is very different from the U.S., especially driving through the mountains and going through police checkpoints. Idriss made us feel completely safe the entire time. He even adjusted his driving in the mountains to keep my wife comfortable and avoid motion sickness. Without him, I think those moments would have been stressful. With him, they weren’t.
As a person, Idriss is the perfect mix of professional and personal. He’s funny, calm, patient, confident without being over the top, and always looking out for you without hovering. By the end of the trip, it felt less like we hired a guide and more like we were visiting a friend who was showing us around his country. We were actually trying to convince him to come visit us in the U.S. so we could return the favor.
Everything about the trip was extremely well organized. Transportation was smooth, timing was spot on, and the hotels were so good that we found ourselves wishing we had built in extra days just to relax and enjoy them.
If you’re hesitant like we were, I get it. We were right there with you. But if you have the opportunity to travel with Idriss, take it. We’re very glad we did.

Private Morocco desert tour - The 4 days allow for a more balanced trip: enough time in the desert plus visits to key sites like kasbahs, oases, and mountain areas.
• Breaks up long drives by doing interesting cultural stops, so it’s not just “sit in a car.”
Camel rides at sunset, sleeping under the stars, and traditional Berber music around campfires are frequent highlights.
• The quiet, the dunes, and the night sky often get singled out as “unforgettable.”

The best Morocco Desert tours - A desert trip from Marrakech to the Sahara is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The journey through the Atlas Mountains offers stunning landscapes and traditional Berber villages. Once in the desert, camel rides across the vast Erg Chebbi dunes are unforgettable, especially at sunset and sunrise. Spending a night at a Berber-style desert camp, with traditional food and stargazing, is a highlight. Activities like dune bashing and sandboarding add excitement, while the silence of the desert provides a peaceful escape.
While the long drive and extreme temperatures (hot days, cold nights) can be challenging, the beauty and culture make it all worthwhile. This trip offers an authentic Moroccan experience, blending adventure and tranquility.

Best and bestest - This tour exceeded all of our expectations! From the initial booking process to the final drop-off, everything was seamless. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Morocco, bringing the history and culture to life. The itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to see all the highlights without feeling rushed. We especially loved the visits to food spots to try new dishes, to the desert. I was sick with the flu during my trip and he made sure to look for medicine and that I was as best taken care of as possible. We would definitely book another tour with this company!

Amazing private tour - Our tour with Ismael was amazing. He was a great driver, knowledgeable guide, and lots of fun to explore Morocco with. We really enjoyed the itinerary, we were able to see a lot of different sights including Berber villages, mountain viewpoints, and especially the desert camping trip. Ismael made sure we had friendly local guides at all the attractions we visited, and picked great restaurants and accommodations. We really loved it and highly recommend the private tour for couples or other small groups! Fair warning if you get carsick, some of the roads in the Atlas Mountains are very twisty, but having an experienced driver made all the difference!

What an amzing trip with Idriss from Jrana tours - I had an absolutely amazing experience with Jrana Tour during my trip from Marrakech to the desert of Merzouga. From the moment we started our journey, the tour agency provided outstanding service and went above and beyond to ensure that our trip was unforgettable.
The itinerary they planned was perfect, taking us through breathtaking landscapes and iconic destinations such as Ouarzazate and Tinghir. Idriss was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the region, providing us with fascinating insights and stories along the way.
The accommodations arranged by Jrana Tour were top-notch. We stayed in beautiful and comfortable hotels, allowing us to relax and rejuvenate after each day of exploration. The highlight, of course, was spending a night in a traditional desert camp in Merzouga. It was a surreal experience, sleeping under the stars and waking up to the mesmerizing beauty of the Sahara desert.
