I had a great time. Captain Art was very knowledgeable and personable. He was able to provide information on marine life, local history and sailing. The boat was clean and stocked with snacks and beverages. It was a small group, so there was plently of space. We did not see any whales, but did see some "blows."
great！船长特别nice！是个很好的dj&know how to make people happy～
Captain Scott was great he let us dictate what we would do on the trip and got us really close to whales. I would recommend this tour to my friends and even do it again mysel.
Couldn't have a better captain than Capt Greg.
We ended up having a private sail and we found some whales and followed them! Wonderful experience
TIm Sabo, Pete Weber and myself, Karen Nova had a great trip. It was beautiful and fun and the sailing perfect. Thank you for a great time. Karen
Anthony was an amazing captain, very knowledgeable and experienced. I could not imagine a better experience! 5+stars!!
This was the best way to see San Diego and of course the migration. Thank you Happy Captain Greg!
It was amazing!
We had a good trip. Captain Happy Greg was awesome. The boat and on-board accommodations were also very good. While we did see and follow a whale, I was a little disappointed that we were so far away. I totally respect the need to distance the boat from the whale’s path, but I didn’t realize how far away we would be. You definately want to have a good pair of binoculars.
Fabulous time indeed! Had a blast watching whales and sailing with Capt. Greg.
Capitan Art was amazing, he knows a lot about the local marine life, geology, and sailing itself. He placed us on the right spots all the time. We could see other boats missing the whales, but not us! He thought is how to search for the whales “footprints” and how to find them on their breathing cicles, só it was very easy to spot them and catch good shots! The boat was very comfortable and the sailing on our way back was amazing!
It would have been good to have more information on the whales, kinds, habits. I had to ask question to get the basic information. Captain was very good with the boat, friendly, knowledgeable about the navy structures, trading dolfins etc.
After a lot of research, I chose Sail San Diego and I hit the spot! Small group in a nice boat. It was a great and successful trip, thanks to the greatest captain : Happy Captain Greg! He drove nicely on a buffeted sea, and we were always ahead of the others. He let me try to sail and was professional and funny! Thanks a lot for the wonderful experience! I've came back later to gave him a tip (sorry! I forgot the tip thing here in USA, and you really deserved it H. C. Greg) Hope they make the delivery to your box!
A great morning! I put a review on trip advisor. We loved it and Lee was very communicative and informed! This was a gift from our children and we highly recommend it. The craft was perfect: we had the perfect day; saw whales and dolphins; glassy seas with enough wind to have full sails on the return trip. We'll be back and ask for Lee again.
Absolutely amazing, my wife and I would highly recommend Sail San Diego! Captain Shon was a great captain and fun to chat with; it was the highlight of our trip to San Diego!
Everything about our trip was as perfect as could be. Captain Greg was born to do his job and could not have been more friendly, professional, knowledgeable and any other superlatives that we could come up with. Good on ya, and keep up the good work.
Capt. Art was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Newer boat that was clean. People we were with must not have eaten for a week, consumed copious amounts of snacks and drinks.
Beautiful location, beautiful boat, nicely stocked with snacks and drinks, and Captain Shon was awesome! Libed the entire experience. I would do it again and recommend your company.
Cant Greg was great!
Capt. Anthony is a very proficient sailor and gave us a comfortable ride for our 3 hour tour. No whales but quite enjoyable!
Unfortunately they did not see any whales and my step mother was sea sick the whole time :( Other than that I think they had a great time!
Anthony was great! Although we didn’t get to see any Whales, we were shown a great time! Very hospitable, would definitely recommend!
Other than enjoying a wonderful day on the ocean and actually seeing multiple whales.. the overall atmosphere and awesome Captain (Greg Tupaj) made that day even more memorable. Can't wait to book another sailing adventure with Captain Greg Tupaj. Thanks
Outstanding way to start the new year! Happy Captain Greg has a sixth sense when it comes to finding whales. His demeanor and knowledge about sailing (we asked a lot of questions) were instrumental to our family having a great outing.
Captain Chuck was amazing. Unlimited snacks & just a gorgeous day. It was my boys highlight of our San Diego trip. Will definitely go back!
Captain Greg was great!
The tour is uncrowded (6 people maximum). The captain was very experienced. We were under sail (as opposed to motoring) for the majority of the time. Value was excellent.
Exceeded all expectations of what we would actually see and do, and Captain Greg was a wonderful sailor and host. I will definitely considering chartering with Sail San Diego again in the future.
Sailboat and captain was great. Very nice cruise. It was a great combination of relaxation and fun. A very good value. I have nothing negative to say at all. Customer service in booking was, also stress free.
We did whale watching for my wife's birthday and we loved it! Happy Captain was so great and very positive about finding a whale. It took a little bit to find one but it was worth it. He also let me sail the boat and was there to help me and guide me. Definitely one of the best highlights of our trip to San Diego.
First sailing trip was amazing. Well worth the extra few bucks to be on a sailboat compared to a larger boat crammed with a bunch of people to see whales.
Cap. was great. Friendly, informative and made everyone feel welcome on the boat. The boat was also nice and kept well. All and all a great experience for us. We live in SD, and were just looking for something to do. I would recommend this to anyone.
Excellent all around--attention to clients' safety and comfort, expert and friendly captain, admiration and respect for nature/whales. We were able to observe a small pod of whales at a close but safe distance for a long time!
I had a great time. John was a terrific captain, and was Fun to talk with about sailing. It would have been a five star experience if he knew a little more about the wildlife.
We really enjoyed the boat and being in the open air, sailing with our captain. He was very skilled and also quite friendly and caring. It was a beautiful experience and we certainly saw our fair share of whales, which was simply magical. We will be back for another sail indeed!
This is the fourth time we have sailed with Sail San Diego. Always an absolute pleasure and a first class experience. My kids are 6 and 9 and love every time we go out and we always feel very well taken care of by our skilled captains. If you're looking for something wonderful to do in San Diego, I assure you this is it!
We had a fantastic time! Thank you, Captain John, for a memorable Sailing!
I enjoyed Coranado islands view.
