Imagine experiencing the wonder of the marine life under the Moorea lagoon directly from your kayak. Your guide’s local expertise opens up chances to explore parts of the lagoon you would likely miss if you rented a solo kayak. Enjoy the abundant flora and fauna, including corals, tropical fish, sharks and stingrays, and if you’re fortunate, observe dolphins and turtles too!
Options include a two-hour tour in the afternoon or a three-hour half-day session, both in small groups with a maximum of 10 participants each. If you crave a more personalized experience, you can opt for a private tour.

Best Experience Ever - We had the most amazing experience on this tour! Our guide was fantastic! He was so friendly and personable from start to finish, and he really let us experience the snorkeling and hospitality of the Tahitian islands firsthand. We got to stop at not one but TWO snorkeling spots on our tour, and we also stopped by a beach and our tour guide gave us fruit juice and rum as well as brownies and bananas! We got to see sharks and stingrays , as well as a huge variety of fish while snorkeling in the two spots we stopped . I cannot recommend this tour enough to anyone here visiting! Please give it a try, you will not regret it! Thank you to our wonderful guide for making our experience so wonderful. We love Moorea!

A must !!! An excursion you won’t regret !!! - Truly an amazing experience! My sister and I booked the sunset kayak lagoon tour and it was such a magical experience. The views are phenomenal, and you get a really intimate experience being up close and personal with the wildlife. Hugo and team were great, definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the island!

Enjoy the lagoon - Awesome way to enjoy the water and scenery. Hugo was very helpful since we weren’t great kayakers. We enjoyed this tour, the water, scenery, fish, stingrays, and sharks. The color of water and the softness of the sand were delightful.

Great way to spend a couple of hours - Be prepared to paddle , especially if it’s windy. The guide will tow you if you like, though. The water is incredible, literally the colour of blue Gatorade! Well worth the money! We went out on the reef/lagoon and literally swam amongst stingrays and black-tip sharks. It was amazing .

Kayak in Paradise - Fantastic tour! We loved every minute of it. The snorkeling was the best of the trip and it was gratifying that we got there on our own power rather than by stinky, noisy boat or jet ski. Our guide, Moana, was funny and knowledgeable. We enjoyed spending time with him!

Magic on the Moorea Lagoon - Hugo was an incredible local guide for the area. He provided a fun, chill experience of a lifetime. Our weather couldn’t have been better and we got to experience sharks, rays all close up. He did a great job and felt really exclusive to what we wanted to do and how we wanted to spend our time.

Great excursion and great guide! - Our time out on the water with Hugo was a highlight of our stay in Mo'orea! It turned out that my 16-year-old daughter and I were the only ones signed up for the 9AM tour, but Lagoon Explorer still honored our reservation and we ended up enjoying a private excursion. If you don't mind using manpower to get there, it's a more economical way to see the lagoon (rays/sharks) and snorkel the reef between the motus. The transparent kayak moves more like a canoe so takes a bit more paddling power, but it was cool to see the coral and fish underneath and to be surrounded by the otherworldly turquoise water as we paddled along. Both of the snorkeling stops were fantastic. Would definitely recommend this activity if you can handle moderate exercise. Thank you, Hugo, for making our time in the lagoon so special!

Beautiful Moorea! - The location is absolutely stunning and we got to enjoy some delicious drinks and even see a few sharks! Minus one star just because the tour guides weren’t terribly engaged, but overall a great experience!
