Montreal’s Beauty is more than Skin Deep - A great introduction to another of Montreal’s unique attributes - the underground city system. Misha did a great job explaining the history and utility of the system - keeping it entertaining throughout the experience.

Highlight of our Montreal trip! - This was an excellent experience, highly recommend it! Misha is everything you want in a tour guide: friendly, knowledgeable, passionate about the information, excellent communicator. We have visited Montreal many times, and we had NO idea that there is a whole underground city (we assumed it was just a mall). So many fascinating facts, presented in a fun way.

Wonderful guide to Montreal's above-ground and underground highlights. - Our guide Misha took us into the exciting tunnels of the underground city of RESO and its highlights. She convinced with historical facts and funfacts so that we could all enjoy the tour. I can recommend the tour 100%. However, you should be good on foot, because you will walk a few kilometers and climb many stairs.

Do This First! - I highly recommend the Underground RESO tour in Montreal —especially if you’re lucky enough to have Misha as your guide. She’s fantastic. Not only does she clearly know Montreal’s history inside and out, but she brings it to life in such a personal and memorable way. One of my favorite moments was when she shared photos and stories of unique locals, like a 90-year-old figure skater who used to glide across a public ice surface in the city until helmet rules came in—and he stubbornly refused to wear one. It’s those kinds of details that make the tour feel special and human, not just informational. The RESO itself is fascinating—a whole hidden layer of the city—but what really makes the experience stand out is how Misha connects it all to Montreal’s culture, people, and evolution over time. I’d strongly recommend doing this tour early in your trip. It gives you a great sense of orientation and helps you understand how different parts of the city connect, both above and below ground. Afterward, you’ll have a much better idea of which neighborhoods, landmarks, or spots you want to come back to and explore more deeply.

Must do on your first day in Montreal - Highly recommended as a first day experience in Montreal! Learn about the underground network that connects much of downtown Montreal to keep you out of any inclement weather - a must during our winter trip when it was actively snowing! However, it’s valuable knowledge any time of year! Misha was a great guide and shared a lot of interesting history and cool sites, and she also showed us how to use the Metro system.

Not a Montreal general tour - just the passageways - We were a family of six adults and chose this tour mainly to stay out of the cold. Our guide, Mischa, was pleasant and easy to spend time with. The tour primarily consists of walking through the underground passages connecting shopping centers and hotel lobbies, with limited historical or cultural context. We had hoped for more background on Montreal itself, so this felt like a mismatch with our expectations. Unless you have a specific interest in seeing how the underground network functions, this tour may not be especially engaging for most visitors.
